<p>Maybe history doesn't really repeat itself; human nature does. The technology changes, the names change, the circumstances change, but greed, fear, power and the desire for control somehow keep showing up in different costumes. That's probably why history can feel repetitive even when the actual events are completely different. We keep changing the world faster than we change ourselves.</p>
