First sip. With a grimace, the drink burns our throat.

We try it again, our taste buds adjusting to the taste and getting used to it. At the third shot, we like It already.

Isn't it the drink that burns our throat? The bitter sweet feeling.

We drown ourselves in it. Our heads become heavy. It takes over our thinking. And control us. Then we fall asleep. And we awake with a pounding head, a painful cramp in the abdomen, we can't seem to stand the pain.

We can't even help ourselves at times. Then after some aspirin and water. We feel better.

And guess what? We go back to the alcohol again.

This is not just alcohol.

This is life.

Read it again, and let it sink in. Till you get it.

THE PLOT

She was young. Too young to fully understand the things adults whispered about in corners and joked about in songs.

At first, it was just curiosity. A conversation with older friends. A late-night chat. A touch that felt strange but exciting.

The first time, it hurt.

Not just her body. Her mind too.

She went home confused, staring at the ceiling, wondering why something everyone glorified felt so heavy afterward.

But then came the attention.

The sweet words.

The feeling of being wanted.

So she tried again.

This time, it felt easier.

Less fear. Less guilt.

Her heart slowly adjusted to the emotional burn the same way the throat adjusts to alcohol.

Soon, she started mistaking temporary pleasure for love.

Late-night calls became habits.

Secret meetings became normal.

And every time someone left her broken, she promised herself she would stop.

But loneliness would come again.

The need to feel seen would return.

And she would go back again.

Then came the tears.

The silent regrets.

The fear of pregnancy.

The heartbreak of being used by boys who only loved her body and not her soul.

Sometimes she cried alone in the bathroom so nobody would hear.

Sometimes she stared at her reflection wondering when innocence quietly disappeared from her eyes.

Yet after every heartbreak, after every emotional hangover, after every painful lesson…

she still searched for comfort in the same thing that wounded her.

Just like alcohol.

The same thing that burns us… somehow becomes the thing we run back to.

Because human beings are emotional creatures.

We chase feelings.

We crave escape.

We confuse healing with distraction.

This is not just alcohol.

This is not just sex.

This is life.

Read it again, and let it sink in. Till you get it.

THE PREGNANCY

And then it happens. A new Life is born. And after a few years. Another cycle begins.

Was it Alcohol?

Was it Sex?

Now this is LIFE

Read it again, and let it sink in. Till you get it.

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

Contributor Rankings

The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
