An Ode to my First Love

I barely can say my day has started, without me first gazing at the clouds above me. Ever since I was a child, I’ve longed to be as free as the white fluff soaring above me.

I wasn’t exactly sure what drew my attention to them but ever since I’ve noticed, they’ve got my attention strung. Almost like a bee to a flower. Perhaps it’s how they make me feel that draws me to them? Fleeting and peaceful they seem. Or perhaps deep within I desire to be able, to mold myself everyday into different forms without having a fear of structure.

My adoration for this God-given art knows no bounds, everyday I see something new and I take it in. How I wish I were a cloud, this world would be my canvas and I would paint it in different shades of blue, gray. I particularly love the rainy days, where everything darkens and there’s this sense of tranquility and anticipation. Yes. I love that a lot.

I know it’s weird that I’ve decided to fall in love with a being so translucent but I can’t help it when I’m in love with everything around me.

Perhaps this is weird.

Most likely it is. But I’m grateful for seeing your beauty everyday, it’s something I look forward to daily.

I initially planned on writing about my mom, but somehow looking for the right picture wasn’t possible. Either way, thanks for reading this
