350 Wasn't the Plan 😂❤️
I wasn't even planning to buy 350 attachment. As a matter of fact, it wasn't anywhere on my original list.
But I knew one thing: I didn't want to use black attachment this time.
I wanted something different, something that would give me a slightly different look.
So, while looking through the different colours, my eyes settled on 350.
Hmmm.
Should I try this?
Maybe it'll be cute.
I stood there having a whole conversation with myself.
I wasn't entirely convinced because I've always been someone who sticks to what I'm familiar with.
My usual hairstyle is all-back, and I was already having second thoughts about trying a different colour.
But I sha bought it.
Fast-forward to getting to the hairstylist.
She was expecting her regular all-back appointment.
In fact, she thought I had come to make my normal hairstyle until I brought out the attachments.
The surprise on her face ehhn 😂
I had to remind her that resumption was around the corner.
I was going back to school the following week, and apparently, I had decided that I wasn't returning with my usual look.
Now, let's talk about the actual hair-making process.
Omo, that hair tested my patience.
We started in the afternoon, and by the time we were finally done, it was past 11 p.m. at night.
Imagine sitting in one position for that long.
If there's one thing I don't enjoy, it's sitting for hours while making my hair.
At some point, I genuinely wanted to cry.
I was tired, uncomfortable and probably wondering why I had put myself through all that stress.
But something interesting was happening around me.
People were coming in and going out of the salon.
As they walked past, some would stop to admire the hair.
Others would compliment the colour and how well it looked.
And I would just smile, and tell myself Yeah, I'm that girllllll! 😝
But the real moment came when I finally got to see the finished hair properly
Omoh it was soo pretty 🥹🩷
The colour was giving everything I hadn't even imagined when I bought the attachment.
It complemented my skin so beautifully, and I loved how it brought out a different look without making me feel like I was trying too hard.
You know that feeling when you take a chance on something you're not entirely sure about, and it turns out better than you expected?
That was exactly how I felt.
I had spent the entire day questioning my decision, wondering if 350 was really going to look good on me.
Yet, here I was, admiring the very colour I almost talked myself out of buying.
And the compliments didn't make things any less exciting 😂
It's funny how we sometimes become so attached to what we're used to that trying something different feels like a huge decision
I'm usually comfortable with my regular hairstyle, but this time, I decided to experiment a little.
And I'm glad I did.
Perhaps I'll stick to 350 for a while, or perhaps I'll find another colour to experiment with next time. I haven't decided yet.
But one thing is certain
I walked into that salon with doubts walked out with a new favourite 🥹
