Courage
<p>I discovered that there is a difference between bravery and courage. Anybody can be brave but not all can be courageous. To be able to step into the uncertainty of a situation while being scared somewhere in your head, to do things you'd never imagine yourself do , all because you were courageous.</p><p><br/></p><p>I mean I have seen brave people, people that do things with no fear of consequences but courage is different. </p><p>Courage is when you handle situations you had never found yourself in before.</p><p>Courage is taking the path that is full of uncertainty.</p><p>Courage is crying and laughing at the same time.</p><p>Courage is fear and bravery mixed together - like a cocktail.</p><p>Courage is you and me.</p><p><br/></p><p>You might not realize it but you are courageous. </p><p>Remember that time , you asked that friend to stop calling you names or you will cut them off.</p><p>Remember that time, you asked that scary lecturer a question despite being afraid.</p><p>Remember that time, you told someone you loved it was time to go.</p><p>Remember that time, you looked that bulky in the eyes despite the unease.</p><p><br/></p><p>All of this together is courage. That time that you stepped up despite the presence of fear , that is courage.</p><p><br/></p><p>So I am telling you right now , that you are courageous. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise, don't even allow that voice in your head to mislead.</p><p><br/></p><p>A brave person would run into the fire to save another , a courageous person would refuse to leave the fire without saving another.</p><p><br/></p><p>Whether you are brave or courageous, well done.</p><p><br/></p><p>You know what, I find it hard not to write poems. So here's one , just for you and me.</p><p><br/></p><p>"<em> I sit in the darkness,</em></p><p><em>My voice shaking </em></p><p><em>My hands refusing to hold still</em></p><p><em><br/></em></p><p><em>Every step I take is like walking on knifes</em></p><p><em>Nevertheless, I continue</em></p><p><em>As I draw close to door</em></p><p><em>The uncertainty eating me up</em></p><p><em><br/></em></p><p><em>And as I finally step out</em></p><p><em>I can say , it was the only time -</em></p><p><em>I truly felt alive</em></p><p><em><br/></em></p><p><em>I did it."</em></p><p><em><br/></em></p><p>This what courage feels like but we do it anyways, not regretting ever taking the step.</p><p><br/></p><p>Welcome back to earth.
