In a world where everyone is chasing answers, discovery is what happens when we stop to just collecting information and start connecting with <a class="tc-blue" href="https://people.Look" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">people.Look </a> around you, the ones leading today are people who discovered opportunities and work towards it on time through networking. Networking is not just swapping contacts. It is discovering new perspectives, gifts and doors through the people God places in your path. In this part of the world we found ourselves, ideas on discovery have been limited to getting new things. If you're reading this, then, something is about to change within. Generally, there's no precise definition of Discovery but I need you to know that it's not only about coming across something new. When you realize the meaning, purpose or connection of something you already knew, it is Discovery. When you bring to light something that has been in existence for a while, that's Discovery. When you link two things that didn't seem related but suddenly they make sense, that's also Discovery. Simply, Discovery is the process of finding, learning or becoming aware of something that was previously unknown, hidden or not fully understood. It's different from just knowing because it involves curiosity, searching and that "haha" moments. With Discovery, you don't just find out, you figure out. Real growth and Greater opportunities comes through Discovery. In this 21st century where wifi connects devices and networking connects destinies, Discovery is finding out that the person next to you has the answer, resources or encouragement you've been praying for. All you have to do is have a conversation with people, not just a conversation, but meaningful ones. Engage them and drop that boring self. Every conversation is a drill - you never know which name, idea or opportunity will make you move to the right side of your purpose. As from now, don't just meet people. Discover them. Networking has gone beyond meeting people. To me, It is you discovering people and letting them discover you as well. When you network, does your purpose align with where you just networked or whom you've network with? Networking is about discovering where you actually belong. You don't belong to everyone or everywhere and that's perfect. Your potentials can be best utilize when you attach yourself with the right people or you're seen in the right settings. When a name is called - opportunity or skill - you discover which side you're meant to stand on and who you're meant to stand with. As students, entrepreneurs or brand owners, Discovery is like your drill idea, it is not just memorizing materials or handbooks. It is discovering where they fit, why they are attached to certain areas and suddenly, everything starts to make more sense. Just like that, ideas goes from facts to map in your head. You may be good in studying materials but do you know the actual setting you can utilize that potential? You read day in day out but people who barely read as you do are opened to opportunities you believe you would have used better if you had same. Then,you wonder what's wrong. Nothing is wrong dear, you've only failed in the Discovery part. Now, when you network, discover opportunities that is already there but not seen. Don't network because you want to be known or you want to have more people on your contacts. When everyone else is collecting contacts, network because you can identify the opportunity existing there. So, move with purpose. Listen and pay attention. Because, networking is not about being seen. It's about discovering
