Daniel, What Exactly Do You Want From Me? 😂😭

I have a friend called Daniel, and one thing I've noticed about him is that sometimes, I don't think he actually wants me to be honest with him. 😂

Let me explain.

Daniel can come to me and say, “Please, I want you to be honest with me. Don't sugarcoat anything. Just tell me the truth, even if it hurts.”

And because he's my friend, I'll tell him exactly what I think. I won't insult him or try to make him feel bad, but I'll give him my honest opinion because I believe that's what real friendship should be about.

But tell me why, immediately after I finish talking, his mood will change. 😭😂

He'll start explaining himself, defending every decision he has made, and somehow turn the whole conversation into a situation where I'm the one who doesn't understand him.

Daniel, wait first! 😂 Wasn't it you who asked me to be honest? Why am I now standing in the witness box defending my opinion?

The funniest part is that if I had agreed with everything he said, he probably would have been happy. But because I told him something he didn't want to hear, suddenly my honesty has become a problem.

Honestly, I think some people don't really want your opinion. They want your approval. They want you to tell them they're right, even when a part of them knows they might be wrong.

And please, don't get me wrong. Being honest doesn't mean being rude or deliberately hurting someone's feelings. There's a difference between telling the truth respectfully and using honesty as an excuse to insult someone.

But if you ask me what I genuinely think, please don't get angry simply because my answer isn't what you expected.

Daniel, my guy, next time you ask me to be honest, should I bring the truth or should I bring the answer you have already prepared in your head? 😂😭

Now, tell me: Have you ever had a friend who asked for your honest opinion but got upset when you gave it? Or have you ever been that friend? Be honest in the comments! 👀😂

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

We pick the top 3.
The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Contributors" tab on the rankings page.
Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis
— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
