Dear Menstruation,

We need to talk. Like right now.

First of all, I’ll hand it to you— you’re very punctual. You pay me a very uncomfortable visit every 28 days like clockwork. Very impressive actually. My phone’s alarm clock isn’t even this reliable.

But we need to set some boundaries.

You take my energy for four days straight. Fine. I didn’t complain. I’ve accepted my bed as my throne room.

You came with bloating. Making me look like Olaf in Frozen. My favourite pair of jeans refuse to button up and even when they do, I feel like passing out. But it’s fine, I’ve managed.

You’ve given me some of the weirdest cravings at the oddest hours. I’ve cried because I couldn’t get peppered meat by 12:30am. Yes, I remember the exact time because everyone laughed at me for it. I’ll never forgive you for that.

I’ve coped. I’ve managed everything you’ve thrown at me. So my question is, why the theatrics?

Why do you have to arrive in the middle of my presentation— in a white dress, of all things?! Why did you have to come the one time a lecturer motioned me to come to the front?

What’s with the attention seeking?

Is the first day not enough?

Is the “am I bleeding through my pants” panic not enough excitement for you? Do you still have to bless me with brain fog so thick that I struggle to remember my name not enough for you?

I’m already wearing black on black like I’m mourning (and I am— my comfort). I’m already constantly calculating when you’re going to pay me one of your annoying visits. I suck at math so calculation isn’t even my strong suit.

Can we keep it physical? Can we skip the part where I cry over not eating peppered meat in the middle of the night while sending that risky text I know I’d regret in the morning?

Because between you and me, I’ve had thoughts. The kind that involves a fork and a very bad decision.

So from now on, you’ll only visit on Fridays by 5am and you’ll leave Monday mornings. I hope I’ve made myself very clear.

Yours sincerely,

every uterus owner that has hissed and said, “you again” while being low key grateful it came anyway.

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
Top Engagers
For the Top Engagers Track, we award the top 3 people who engage the most with other user's content via
comments.
The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Engagers" tab on the rankings page.
Most Engaged Content
The Most Engaged Content recognizes users whose content received the most engagement during the month.
We pick the top 3.
The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Contributors" tab on the rankings page.
Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis
— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
