Do we make money or money makes us?
<p>There is a deep question that requires an answer, a question I believe should be worth a trillion dollars. The question goes thus: </p><p>Do we make money or money makes us?</p><p>Over the years, we have heard people say they want to make money and actually, it is not be a wrong thing to do, but what we aren't paying attention to is what "making money" does to us. Let's assume there is a man who just loves his personal space; gentle, withdrawn and quiet, but has this burning desire to get his hands on money without knowing how to. This man's friend then informs him of a vacancy at the driver's union, not as a driver, but as a conductor. This man, by nature wouldn't even have considered such a job, but because he needs money, he gives in. Now, that gentle, quiet man will now have to join his comrades to shout at customers at any slight smell of what he presumes to be a swindle, he keeps shouting from morning till night, not minding the fact that he is an introvert.</p><p>...... What happened to the soft, gentle, easygoing man? He is forced to be brutal, tough and bold because money must be made, as he is in turn made by money.</p><p>In our country, many youths who grew up in godly homes and had decent characters while growing up suddenly became awkward because of money. Many scam, kill, lie and do all sorts of things they would naturally not do if money were not involved.</p><p>Many of our politicians today regard money over human lives. It might interest you to know that before joining politics, many of them had good intentions for the people, so what changed them?</p><p>The answer: MONEY</p><p>I will not fail to mention the average man, the 9-5er, who has to wake up early in the morning and maybe weave through the traffic to get to work. He sits up at office, clearing files and attending to clients, sometimes staying back at work for an extra hour or more. He gets home weary and sick, it's not his desire but his life has taken this shape all because of the paycheck.</p><p>Money, in itself is neither good nor bad, it is not evil, it is the excessive love of it that is.</p><p><br/></p>
