DO YOU...DO GOOD

I’ve learned that life becomes a lot easier when you stop trying so hard to be what everyone expects you to be.

Do you.

Wear what makes you comfortable. Like what you like. Take the path that feels right for you. Change your mind when you need to. Grow at your own pace. You don't have to explain every choice you make to everyone.

But while you're being yourself, do good.

Be kind when you can. Speak with respect. Help when you have the chance. Apologize when you're wrong. Don't use your freedom as an excuse to hurt people.

Because being yourself doesn't mean you have to become careless about how your actions affect others.

I've realized that we don't all have to agree, live the same way, or want the same things. People are allowed to be different. What matters is that our differences don't become an excuse for cruelty.

So, do you.

Be loud if you're loud. Be quiet if you're quiet. Chase your dreams. Enjoy your little things. Laugh too much. Start over when you need to.

Just remember to leave a little kindness wherever you go.

Do you, but do good.

~ LISS WHISPERS
