Does intelligence create loneliness?
<p>Does intelligence create loneliness?</p><p><br/></p><p>Or is it the awareness that comes with it?</p><p><br/></p><p>Because sometimes,</p><p>the more you understand,</p><p>the harder it becomes to simply exist without questioning everything.</p><p><br/></p><p>You notice things.</p><p><br/></p><p>The change in someone's voice.</p><p>The meaning behind a simple sentence.</p><p>The patterns in people's behaviour.</p><p>The things they don't say.</p><p><br/></p><p>You start looking beyond what is being shown,</p><p>and sometimes</p><p>you see things you wish you didn't.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe that's where the loneliness begins.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not because you're better than everyone.</p><p>Not because you're smarter.</p><p><br/></p><p>But because your mind refuses to stay quiet.</p><p><br/></p><p>While everyone is laughing,</p><p>you're wondering why.</p><p><br/></p><p>While everyone is moving with the crowd,</p><p>you're asking where the crowd is even going.</p><p><br/></p><p>While people accept things as they are,</p><p>you're stuck thinking,</p><p><br/></p><p>"But why?"</p><p><br/></p><p>And sometimes you wish you could just stop.</p><p><br/></p><p>Stop analysing.</p><p>Stop thinking.</p><p>Stop looking for meaning in everything.</p><p><br/></p><p>Just exist.</p><p><br/></p><p>Just laugh.</p><p>Just talk.</p><p>Just be.</p><p><br/></p><p>But the mind doesn't always allow that.</p><p><br/></p><p>And the strange thing is,</p><p>you can understand people</p><p>without feeling understood by them.</p><p><br/></p><p>You can know why someone behaves the way they do</p><p>and still feel alone when you're around them.</p><p><br/></p><p>You can have conversations all day</p><p>and still go home feeling like</p><p>nobody actually met the real you.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe that's why intelligent people sometimes isolate themselves.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not because they hate people.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes it's because explaining yourself</p><p>becomes more exhausting</p><p>than being alone.</p><p><br/></p><p>You start enjoying your own company.</p><p><br/></p><p>Music becomes conversation.</p><p>Thoughts become company.</p><p>Silence becomes somewhere to rest.</p><p><br/></p><p>And slowly,</p><p>the solitude that was supposed to be temporary</p><p>starts feeling like home.</p><p><br/></p><p>But there's a dark side to understanding too much.</p><p><br/></p><p>You begin to overthink things that haven't happened.</p><p>Create problems that don't exist.</p><p>Revisit conversations that ended hours ago.</p><p>Predict endings before beginnings even have a chance.</p><p><br/></p><p>You become trapped inside possibilities.</p><p><br/></p><p>And maybe that's the real loneliness.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not having nobody around you—</p><p><br/></p><p>but having a mind that never really lets you rest.</p><p><br/></p><p>Still,</p><p>I don't think intelligence itself creates loneliness.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe it's what happens when awareness grows faster than connection.</p><p><br/></p><p>When your mind becomes a place with too many rooms</p><p>and nobody else has the key.</p><p><br/></p><p>So you sit there.</p><p><br/></p><p>Thinking.</p><p><br/></p><p>Questioning.</p><p><br/></p><p>Understanding.</p><p><br/></p><p>Watching everyone live</p><p>while you're somewhere inside your own head</p><p>trying to understand what living even means.</p><p><br/></p><p>And maybe sometimes,</p><p><br/></p><p>the smartest thing you can do</p><p>is stop trying to understand everything.</p><p><br/></p><p>Some things don't need an explanation.</p><p><br/></p><p>Some people don't need to be figured out.</p><p><br/></p><p>And some moments...</p><p><br/></p><p>are meant to simply be lived.</p><p><br/></p>
