I almost called it “the project that was mentoring me.”

A few days ago, I shared an entry about a project that had been making me ment. Not mentor. Ment.

It was stretching my patience, testing my confidence, and occasionally making me question why I had agreed to do this thing in the first place.

Well well,

DONE.✅

And not just done, excellently done. For a first try, I have to give it to myself. My coach testified. See

And that testimony did something to me.

No, not because I needed someone to tell me I did well, but because there is this joy in watching yourself become the person you were hoping you could be.

There was a time when I would look at videos of spoken word artists, and immediately wonder if I was capable of doing it. This time, I looked at the difficulty and stayed.

I tried. I got things wrong. I corrected them. I tried again. And between the first attempt and the final result, I discovered something I think we forget too often: You don't always need confidence before you begin.

Confidence is sometimes the receipt you get after doing the thing.

We are often waiting to feel ready before we give ourselves permission to try. We want to know we will be good at it.

We want to know people will like it.

We want to know we won't embarrass ourselves.

We want the assurance that our first attempt will look like somebody else's tenth.

But first attempts are not supposed to look experienced, they are supposed to look like first attempts.

So, the goal is not to start because you are already excellent. You start so excellence has somewhere to come from. This is why finishing matters. Every finished thing is not perfect, not even my project, but completion gives you evidence.

Evidence;

- that you can learn

- that you can endure being a beginner

- that the thing that intimidated you yesterday can become something you are proud of today.

So, yes. The project is done.

I am smiling at myself a little more than usual.

And if you want a catch of it, you can find it on Instagram or TikTok.

Instagram: www.instagram.com/reel/Dd9fG6Mqnfm/?s...

TikTok: vt.tiktok.com/ZSb5D2Cva/

However,

Do not underestimate the person you could become simply because you have never been her before. The only difference between “I don't think I can do this” and “I actually did this” is one brave first attempt.

Mine happened to be this project.

Yours?

Now go do that thing anyway!

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
Top Engagers
For the Top Engagers Track, we award the top 3 people who engage the most with other user's content via

We pick the top 3.

Contributor Rankings

The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
