Life needs understanding

I don't know if I'm the only one who has experienced this, where the people you live with, especially grandparents, take one small action as "this is who you are."

Today is a clear example. Music is what gingers me. Whenever I'm doing anything - washing, reading, cleaning - I put on my earpiece to focus better. I was washing today with music on, and my grandma called me but I didn't hear. She asked me to come outside, I came out but still didn't hear well because of the music. In my mind I was just confused.

Then my grandpa said it's because I don't want to do it, that's why I'm forming deaf ear. Honestly, it pained me. Because I was actually trying my best.

There's also a woman who comes to buy things from grandma. Coincidentally, whenever she comes I'm always in the toilet or bathroom or busy washing. So she now thinks I purposely hide or I'm lazy. Today she waited and even complained, and my grandma supported her saying "that's how she does to me too." I was like, God abeg.

But in that moment Holy Spirit told me to calm down and answer with wisdom. So I kept quiet.

I just learnt that life really needs understanding. People see things differently, and we need grace to understand each other.
