Have you ever wondered why teenage girls can tell their parents every single thing about their lives, but somehow, when it comes to having a boyfriend, they suddenly become very secretive.

According to a story traced back in Kumasi in Ghana in year 2012 there was a young girl named Ama Owusu who had always been fascinated by the relationship between her best friend and her mother. Her best friend always bragged about the friendly relationship between them that she could tell her anything, without the fear of been judged or punished.

Ama Owusu believed her best friend because of the way the mother relates to her whenever she goes visiting, not until she discovered that her best friend had never told her mum about her boyfriend ,and when she did, it was the beginning of a storm between her best friend and the mother .She was punished and judged bitterly, Even Ama Owusu served the punishment because it was believed that if her best friend had a romantic life ,then Ama had too.

These punishment took them a week and more, it's also led to their broken friendship, yet they did not fail to warn others to keep their romantic life and discussion away from their parents, especially their mothers.

In this part of African, they tend to be secretive about any talk that deals with romance to avoid spiling secrets of their lives, there prefer to be caught in the act because they believe only then their mother will speak calmly and understand. these acts were passed from different generations till date to avoid punishment that was given to Ama Owusu and her best friend.

This is a fictional story ,they are no Ama Owusu anywhere, where no date ,it is all fiction.

The way we believe that Valentine came as a result of a man who shared love with everyone and his name is Valentine, and he is celebrated February 14 in remembrance of him, that was how I cooked up this story in my head and made you fell for it ,because this act is mostly found in African.

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
