Productive procrastination: the productive version of procrastination

Yeah you read that right 😂

There's a productive version of procrastination. You didn't know abi? It's okayy. I'll tell you

Productive procrastination is when you do everything that needs to be done, except the thing that needs to be done the most. Dyg?

I'll use myself as a case study.

I procrastinate a lot. Like, I'll do this tomorrow but end up doing it in a week time type of procrastination.

Just that my “I'll do it later” doesn't mean spending the entire day doing absolutely nothing.

No.

Somehow, the moment I decide to do something important, I remember something else that is also apparently very important.

I'll tell myself, “I'll do my online course this afternoon.” Afternoon comes and then I remember I have to learn how to style my hair for church tomorrow.

I'm supposed to do my French lesson on Duolingo? That's when I remember I saw a notification that a friend texted me on TikTok.

I want to complete an application for something? I remember my purple and black gown has not been ironed for class.

I want to write and post an insight on TwoCents? (This! I'm not even kidding 🤧), my brain decides that very moment to notify me that I have posts to engage with on Twitter.

Now, I'm not justifying my “bad” habit of procrastination. I'm just saying, maybe in the middle of all that procrastination, I'm still doing something with my time.

Maybe you shouldn't beat yourself too much for procrastinating or– maybe you should 😐

What should be my conclusion now o

Okayyy

Is this your own version of procrastination? Or you just procrastinate without doing anything productive? Abi you don't even procrastinate at all? OG please show me way 🤲🏻😂
