THE ALBUM.

Some things are never meant to be remembered.

They are meant to stay buried somewhere between yesterday and the version of me that no longer exists.

But I found an album.

Not a musical album.

A photograph album.

It had no name on it.

No date.

No owner.

No details at all.

Just a black cover, slightly worn at the edges, sitting where I was certain nothing had been sitting before.

I opened it.

The first picture was ordinary.

Too ordinary.

A house.

A road.

A few people standing outside.

I turned the page.

Another picture.

Then another.

And then I noticed something strange.

Just too strange though.

I knew the people in the pictures.

Not because I remembered meeting them...

Because I remembered becoming them.

Every page looked like a piece of my life that I had somehow forgotten.

A birthday I couldn't remember.

A room I had never seen.

A face that looked exactly like mine, only older.

Then I reached the last page.

There was only one photograph.

It was a picture of me.

Taken from behind.

I was standing in front of a mirror.

But I wasn't holding the camera.

I stared at it for a long time, trying to understand what was really going on in that photograph

Then I noticed the date printed underneath.

Tomorrow.

I closed the album.

I opened it again.

The photograph had changed.

This time, I was facing the camera.

And someone was standing behind me.

Someone I couldn't see in the mirror.

So now I have only one question...

If the album is showing memories that haven't happened yet, who has been taking the pictures?

And perhaps the more frightening question is......

What happens when the album reaches the last page?
