THE BREAK
<p>There's a smile on my face,</p><p><br/></p><p>And it's a lot, letting it take over me.</p><p><br/></p><p>A break from this pain</p><p><br/></p><p>That I will always know.</p><p><br/></p><p>After seizing me for six full days,</p><p><br/></p><p>Making me throw up daily,</p><p><br/></p><p>It's just gone without a trace.</p><p><br/></p><p>Up from the fire inside of me,</p><p><br/></p><p>This bird has flown,</p><p><br/></p><p>As I spread my wings in grace,</p><p><br/></p><p>Knowing I have more pain to rock.</p><p><br/></p><p>I will chill during this little break,</p><p><br/></p><p>And all the breaks I have ahead,</p><p><br/></p><p>Because I know I'm not alone.</p><p><br/></p><p>And I fear it is gone,</p><p><br/></p><p>But it's still in me,</p><p><br/></p><p>Scheduling its next move,</p><p><br/></p><p>Putting together the next pain.</p><p><br/></p><p>Would I ever be alone?</p><p><br/></p><p>Because it will always be in me.</p><p><br/></p><p>All the feelings of pain I have,</p><p><br/></p><p>And the hurts that feel so bad,</p><p><br/></p><p>Would it ever end?</p><p><br/></p><p>Though it makes me a big mess,</p><p><br/></p><p>Yet it makes me feel complete and strong.</p><p><br/></p><p>It annoys me a lot,</p><p><br/></p><p>But I'm always ever grateful for it,</p><p><br/></p><p>Because it is always in me.</p><p><br/></p><p>And I know I'm not alone,</p><p><br/></p><p>Even though it disappears</p><p><br/></p><p>Without leaving a trace.</p>
