THE DILEMMA
<p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>Six days ago, I created an account on Two Cents.</p><p>I did not come to find love. I came to find words.</p><p><br/></p><p>The first word I found was from a writer named Israel.</p><p>They call him izrplays.</p><p>He isn't my crush. He may or may not be my love interest. He is my friend mostly in person 😅💕- the kind that reads your first terrible draft and says, "This has potential."</p><p><br/></p><p>My dilemma lives outside this app.</p><p><br/></p><p>It lives in my chest at 11:47pm when I am staring at a chat that says "delivered."</p><p><br/></p><p>I like someone. That is the truth. And liking someone at 16 is like holding water in your hands - you want to keep it, but you are scared it will slip.</p><p><br/></p><p>One day he makes me feel like a poem.</p><p>The next day he makes me feel like a draft that was never saved.</p><p><br/></p><p>I have learned two things in these six days:</p><p><br/></p><p>> "Love should not be a guessing game. If you have to keep decoding it, it's not love yet."</p><p><br/></p><p>> "We confuse attention with affection, and consistency with love. But attention is cheap. Consistency is rare."</p><p><br/></p><p>izrplays taught me consistency. He replies. He reads. He shows up.</p><p><br/></p><p>And that is why I am confused. Because if friendship can be this steady, why does love have to be this shaky?</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe at 16, love is not supposed to be solved. Maybe it is supposed to be written about until it makes sense.</p><p><br/></p><p>So I will write.</p>
