Peer pressure might be positive or negative. Let's talk about the negative part of peer pressure.

The negative part of peer pressure have consequences However, Young adults may feel pressured to engage in behaviours simply because they want to be accepted by their peers. This can include substance abuse, excessive drinking, risky sexual behaviour, bullying, examination malpractice, or other harmful activities.

Our society today is a carrier or these influences. Young people may be pressured by friends to carry out activities like alcohol, cigarettes, vaping, or illicit drugs. When a young person constantly associates with peers who do this,it becomes something they can't control any more due to the influence of others.

Pressure also lead comparison. "COMPARISON kills, trust me".🔥

Comparison can make young adults feel like they are not achieving enough. When people constantly compare their lives with those of their friends or what they see on social media, they may begin to feel frustrated, or unhappy with themselves. They may start chasing lifestyles they cannot afford simply because they want to fit in or appear successful.Instead of being genuinely happy for one another, people may become jealous or secretly compete with their friends. Comparison kills trust, confidence, and genuine relationships. It makes people focus more on what others have than on appreciating their own progress.

"I am a victim of comparison." 💔

Further more, a problem bout youths mostly in Nigeria is classisim.Classism creates a division between young people based on their family background, financial status, social position, or the things they can afford. Some may feel ashamed of their circumstances or believe they are not good enough because they cannot afford the same things as their peers. In some cases, this pressure can push young people into borrowing money, engaging in fraudulent activities, or making unhealthy decisions just to appear wealthy.

person's worth should not be measured by the clothes they wear, the phone they use, the house they live in, or the amount of money their parents have.Society should not make young people feel inferior because of their financial background.

We need to stop measuring people's value by their possessions and start appreciating them for who they are. ❤️🩹

At the end of the day, don't lose yourself to fit in.Be your self and grow at your own pace.💪♥️
