THE KING'S MESSENGER<p><br/></p><p>I was gisting with Adeolu, my best friend, in our backyard. I think it was around 5 p.m.</p><p><br/></p><p>Some of our animals: goats, chickens and rams ;were already moving around the compound, probably preparing to settle in for the night.</p><p><br/></p><p>In my heart, I thought to myself, These guys are done with their daily search for food.</p><p><br/></p><p>Just then, I started hearing a familiar sound.</p><p><br/></p><p>"Gboin! Gboin!"</p><p><br/></p><p>"Kéré o!</p><p>Kéré o!</p><p>Kéré o!</p><p>Lónìí lẹ́, lálẹ́jọ!"</p><p><br/></p><p>It was the king's messenger.</p><p><br/></p><p>He was rushing through the town to deliver the king's message.</p><p><br/></p><p>My friend Adeolu, who seemed to understand the urgency of the situation, said, "These are the kinds of messages the king usually sends. The spit he spat on the ground must not dry before the messenger returns!"</p><p><br/></p><p>I was like, "Ehn? Is that even possible?"</p><p><br/></p><p>I immediately abandoned our conversation. I wanted to hear what the messenger had to say. More importantly, I wanted to know what could have made him so restless that he couldn't wait to get the message off his chest.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then he began:</p><p><br/></p><p>"I bring you great greetings from the King!</p><p><br/></p><p>He has sent me to ask you, His sons and daughters:</p><p><br/></p><p>Why have you become so sad?</p><p><br/></p><p>Why have you refused to work and eat from the fruits of your labour?</p><p><br/></p><p>Why have you stopped showing up at your duty posts simply because someone told you that all your efforts were in vain?</p><p><br/></p><p>Why have you turned yourselves into people who no longer behave like those who belong to this town?</p><p><br/></p><p>Did you think that because an answer did not come immediately when you visited my palace, I did not hear you?</p><p><br/></p><p>Have you forgotten that my silence is also me saying something?</p><p><br/></p><p>Have you forgotten that the word of a king is law?</p><p><br/></p><p>Has it slipped your mind that I always do whatever I say?</p><p><br/></p><p>Have you forgotten that no word comes out of my mouth only to fall to the ground?</p><p><br/></p><p>So, get up!</p><p><br/></p><p>Prepare yourselves and return to your duty posts.</p><p><br/></p><p>Take up your responsibilities again.</p><p><br/></p><p>Go out into the field once more.</p><p><br/></p><p>Do not allow discouragement to make you abandon the work I have committed into your hands.</p><p><br/></p><p>You are the light!</p><p><br/></p><p>Now, go and shine!"</p><p><br/></p><p>And just like that, the messenger had delivered the King's message.</p><p><br/></p><p>But perhaps, the message wasn't just for the people of that town.</p><p><br/></p><p>Perhaps, it was for everyone who had become weary, everyone who had mistaken silence for abandonment, and everyone who had almost given up on the assignment of the King.</p><p><br/></p><p>Perhaps, it was for those who had allowed the opinions of others to make them question the value of their service.</p><p><br/></p><p>The King had spoken.</p><p><br/></p><p>It was time to return to work.</p>

Your tip would encourage to post another amazing insight 😌❤️
At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
Top Engagers
For the Top Engagers Track, we award the top 3 people who engage the most with other user's content via

The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Engagers" tab on the rankings page.
Most Engaged Content
The Most Engaged Content recognizes users whose content received the most engagement during the month.
We pick the top 3.
The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Contributors" tab on the rankings page.
Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis

The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
