<p><br/></p><p>We always ask, "Why do I attach so quickly? Why do I love so deeply? Why is it so hard for me to let go when they already did?"</p><p><br/></p><p>Psychology has an answer. And it is softer than you think.</p><p><br/></p><p>1. We don't fall in love with people, we fall in love with how they make us feel about ourselves.</p><p>When someone sees you, listens to you, makes you feel safe ... your brain marks them as home. It is not really about them. It is about the version of you that finally felt calm. That is why it hurts so much when they leave. You are not just losing them. You are losing the calm version of you.</p><p><br/></p><p>2. Attachment is not about love, it is about history.</p><p>If you grew up having to earn love, you will attach hard as an adult. You will overthink texts, you will apologize for things that are not your fault, you will stay longer than you should. Not because you are needy, but because somewhere your inner child learned that love must be chased to be kept. Psychology calls it anxious attachment. But I call it a heart that learned love the hard way.</p><p><br/></p><p>3. The brain bonds before the heart knows.</p><p>Your brain releases the same chemicals when you are in love as when you are addicted. That is why letting go feels like withdrawal ... sleepless nights, checking their page, wanting one more conversation. You are not crazy. You are detoxing. From a person your brain thought was survival.</p><p><br/></p><p>4. We attach to potential, not just reality.</p><p>This is the most painful one. We don't always love who they are. We love who they could be. The good mornings they could send. The way they could love us if they tried. We stay for the future we imagined, not the present we are living.</p><p><br/></p><p>So if you attach hard, please don't punish yourself for it. You are not too much. You just feel deeply. You love with your whole heart in a world that loves with half.</p><p><br/></p><p>And one day, someone will not be scared of that depth. Someone will meet your attachment with reassurance, not distance. Someone will say, "I am here. You don't have to chase."</p><p><br/></p><p>Until then, learn to be that person for yourself.</p><p><br/></p><p>— The Psychol<span style="background-color: transparent;">ogy Series (Part 2) | </span></p>
At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
