The Quiet Realization

Real eyes, realize, real lies.

Real eyes, realize, real lies.

My mind swarmed with memories from the time I was a child, and my innocence shrouded with ignorance.

The noxious void in my heart, filled with pleasures and uncertainties I had yet to understand.

A hard truth had to be learnt through the harsh and gruesome lies that life threw at my face.

"I had yet to understand."

One thing I can recall, even after living through this lie we all call life, is the soft but clear voice of my best friend as he played dying on the cold tiled floor.

"Real eyes, realize, real lies."

Thinking about it now, almost makes me want to scream at my past self for not taking what he said into much more consideration.

Kinda funny now when I think about it. What he said about real eyes was him expecting me to understand what he was trying to foreshadow.

I just couldn't understand it yet.

And now I'm lost! Lost trying to find solace in the arms of the world, not realizing I was being drawn into a cold dark place where my hope of finding peace was only but a glimmer, a spark, an atom of hope was all I needed!

But... that was all the more reason for despair to take me into his cold grasp.

I can only pray now,

I can only hope,

I can only pass on one message.

"Real eyes, realize, real lies."
