I joined two cents roughly three weeks ago. A friend shared the link on their status and curiosity got the better of me.

I downloaded the app and read through the guidelines, from the start I got the sense this was a writers community, of course though it’s not just limited to writers- a lot of people can join in, from cartoonists to musicians, two cents became the place for everyone.

Now the earning.

The earning came as a plus for me, being a broke student, I had the means to get data from Points To Coupon section that dealt mainly in engagement.

I was free, homesick with nothing better to do and now I had a means to get daily data so I took it seriously.

Everyday I’d wake up, read through a minimum of fifty insights and comment on their posts… and for a while all was good, I earned enough to keep me repeatedly coming online.

Then this week happened.

After engaging severely, I’d notice I earned nothing from it. I got worried, reached out but I was told it’s all good, that a team is handling it.

I kept calm.

This started on Monday, I chilled till Wednesday.

Commented on a post and saw my comment counted. For a bit I relaxed, then went back to commenting on the posts of multiple people I found insightful.

At the end of the day, I decided to withdraw my earnings only to find out, out of 60 comments, only 20 were accounted for and was given earnings. The rest 40 were gone.

This made me worried. Could it be a glitch? A problem? I decided to keep calm again and today being Thursday decided to give a trial again.

Again my comment was counted and I relaxed. Started engaging meaningful insights for about two hours until I decided to check my PTC earnings.

What I saw there, had me weak.

Out of 40 comments only 14 were accounted for.

I became frustrated.

If you know me, you’d know I don’t enjoy tug of war, once I start getting stressed out I’d abandon it completely. But I don’t want to abandon two cents, I enjoy writing, I enjoy commenting and reading up what other creators make.

Now I’m not so sure what more to do.

No more data, no more reading, no more sharing.

So I’m writing this as a plea for help.

Because I’m really trying to build something worthwhile here.

As I’m not earning from engagement and contributor points, kindly tip me so I’d keep showing up and sharing love. Thanks if you do.
At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
Top Engagers
For the Top Engagers Track, we award the top 3 people who engage the most with other user's content via

The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Engagers" tab on the rankings page.
Most Engaged Content
The Most Engaged Content recognizes users whose content received the most engagement during the month.
We pick the top 3.
The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Contributors" tab on the rankings page.
Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis
— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
