Episode 4

‎The Three Days We Finally Got

‎

‎She held him tightly.

‎

‎“I miss you so much,” she whispered.

‎

‎“I miss you too.”

‎

‎“Don't cry,” He added softly.

‎

‎Maybe He said it because he knew how much they had both missed each other.

‎

‎Maybe because that hug felt like the end of all those days of waiting.

‎

‎Or maybe because, for those few seconds, she simply didn't want to let go.

‎

‎Eventually, they separated.

‎

‎They continued walking, still laughing and talking as though nothing had happened.

‎

‎Then Daniel noticed something.

‎

‎Priscilla had put her hand back into her pocket.

‎

‎He looked at her.

‎

‎“Come and give me your hand.”

‎

‎She gave him her hand.

‎

‎She smiled.

‎

‎“You just gave me your hand and now you're putting it back in your pocket again?”

‎

‎she laughed.

‎

‎“Give me that hand.” Daniel said.

‎

‎And she did.

‎

‎They reached the gate of where they lodge still joking around.

‎

‎Then they discovered the problem.

‎

‎The gate was locked.

‎

‎The lodge had closed the entrance for the night.

‎

‎It was already late.

‎

‎Daniel started knocking, trying to get someone's attention.

‎

‎Priscilla stood there beside him, and despite everything, she was happy.

‎

‎She didn't care that they were standing outside late at night.

‎

‎She just wanted to be with Daniel a little longer.

‎

‎Eventually, they got inside.

‎

‎Later, Daniel admitted that he was still surprised by the hug.

‎

‎Priscilla simply smiled.

‎

‎That was how their first night ended.

‎

‎No grand confession.

‎

‎No dramatic promises.

‎

‎Just a hug they had both been waiting for.

‎

‎And the quiet feeling that maybe the wait had been worth it.

‎

‎FRIDAY

‎

‎Friday came with a different kind of energy.

‎

‎There was food, laughter, conversations and plenty of people moving around the program.

‎

‎For Priscilla, it was simply another day she got to spend around Daniel.

‎

‎Until that evening.

‎

‎She was getting ready and preparing her outfit for the following day when Daniel came to her.

‎

‎“My... please come and escort me. I want to go and see a friend off.”

‎

‎Priscilla agreed.

‎

‎She went with him.

‎

‎But when they got there, his friend pleaded with Daniel to stay, that his lonely .

‎

‎By the way Priscilla had something she wanted Daniel to help her with, and Daniel had already promised to assist her.

‎

‎So just like that, Daniel stayed.

‎

‎And Priscilla had to leave.

‎

‎There was no hug.

‎

‎No proper goodbye.

‎

‎Not even a goodnight.

‎

‎It wasn't a huge argument.

‎

‎She didn't make a scene.

‎

‎But it hurt.

‎

‎After waiting so long to finally spend time with him, she hadn't expected the night to end that way.

‎

‎She went back with the feeling that something had been left unfinished between them.

‎

‎SATURDAY

‎

‎Saturday was different.

‎

‎That was the day Priscilla finally met some of the girls Daniel had told her about.

‎

‎His ex was there too and some other admirers.

‎

‎And because one of them were staying in the same lodge, Priscilla couldn't simply avoid her.

‎

‎Some of them were friendly.

‎

‎Some weren't.

‎

‎Some seemed to want to get close to her.

‎

‎Others gave her attitude.

‎

‎And Priscilla noticed everything.

‎

‎There was one particular moment that caught her attention.

‎

‎Daniel made space for Priscilla to sit beside him.

‎

‎Before she could properly settle down, another girl quickly moved into the space beside him.

‎

‎Priscilla stared.

‎

‎What exactly is happening here?

‎

‎Daniel shifted again, making space for her.

‎

‎Priscilla sat down.

‎

‎The girl looked at her.

‎

‎Priscilla looked back.

‎

‎Neither of them said anything.

‎

‎But the message in the silence was loud enough.

‎

‎Later, they started playing a game —a game Priscilla and the group had played together before.

‎

‎Priscilla was the one who brought up the game, so she expected to join in naturally.

‎

‎Daniel asked who was interested in playing.

‎

‎A few of the girls joined.

‎

‎At first, everything seemed normal.

‎

‎Then, somehow, the girls surrounded Daniel.

‎

‎Priscilla found herself pushed out of the space.

‎

‎She looked at them.

‎

‎A girl was like: Are you playing this game or not?

‎

‎Priscilla responded : yes,

‎

‎Though she was annoyed.

‎

‎Very annoyed.

‎

‎But she kept herself calm.

‎

‎Daniel was there.

‎

‎He could see what was happening.

‎

‎So Priscilla swallowed her irritation and continued with the game.

‎

‎Then the rain came.

‎

‎Everything scattered.

‎

‎People started packing up and running back because of the rainfall.

‎

‎Priscilla, Daniel and the others eventually made their way home.

‎

‎Later that night, Priscilla noticed that Daniel seemed different.

‎

‎He was quiet.

‎

‎Moody.

‎

‎Down.

‎

‎She went to his room because she wanted to be with him.

‎

‎She tried to talk to him.

‎

‎She even put her phone aside so she could give him her full attention.

‎

‎But Daniel wasn't giving her much to work with.

‎

‎He spoke to her, yes.

‎

‎But there was a distance in his mood that she couldn't quite reach.

‎

‎She stayed anyway.

‎

‎Sometimes, being there for someone didn't require having the perfect words.

‎

‎And eventually, the night passed.

‎‎SUNDAY

‎

‎Sunday arrived too quickly.

‎

‎Their last day.

‎

‎The thought sat heavily in Priscilla's heart.

‎

‎They were finally together after waiting for so long and now they had to leave.

‎

‎So instead of allowing the misunderstanding from the previous days to sit between them, Priscilla talked about it.

‎

‎She explained what had hurt her.

‎

‎Daniel listened.

‎

‎Then he apologized.

‎

‎He explained what had happened, trying to make her understand that he hadn't meant to hurt her.

‎

‎Priscilla listened too.

‎

‎They talked.

‎

‎They cleared things up.

‎

‎And slowly, the tension disappeared.

‎

‎For the rest of the day, they simply stayed together and enjoyed their remaining time.

‎

‎Priscilla held his hand.

‎

‎She took pictures with him.

‎

‎She stayed close.

‎

‎She enjoyed every moment she could get.

‎

‎Unfortunately, they didn't get the long goodbye hug she had imagined.

‎

‎And somehow, that was the only thing she wished they had gotten before leaving.

‎

‎But she refused to let that ruin the memories.

‎

‎She wanted to remember his face.

‎

‎His voice.

‎

‎His hand in hers.

‎

‎The laughter.

‎

‎The awkward moments.

‎

‎The jealousy.

‎

‎The surprise.

‎

‎And most of all

‎

‎the hug.

‎

‎The hug she had spent all those days imagining.

‎

‎Three days had passed.

‎

‎And just like that, it was time to leave.

‎

‎They were going back to their separate lives.

‎

‎Back to waiting.

‎

‎Back to wondering when school would finally resume.

‎

‎But this time, the waiting felt different.

‎

‎Because now Priscilla had memories to hold onto.

‎

‎And somewhere between the long wait and those three short days, she realized something:

‎

‎Sometimes, the moments you wait the longest for don't last very long.

‎

‎But they can stay with you for much longer than you expect.

‎

‎And as she watched Daniel leave, Priscilla knew one thing for certain.

‎

‎She was going to miss him again.

‎

‎Very much.

‎To be continued.....

‎
