<p><br/></p><p>We often look back at our younger selves with a mix of cringe, regret, or even anger. We wonder why we stayed in that relationship so long, why we didn't speak up for ourselves, or why we made such obvious mistakes.</p><p> We judge our past actions using the wisdom we only gained because of those very mistakes that's what I call <em>Compassion for past selves</em></p><p><em><br/></em></p><p style="text-align: left;">It is a strange cruelty to be embarrassed by a version of yourself that was simply doing their best to survive with the limited tools they had. If you could go back and whisper in your own ear, you wouldn't offer a lecture; you would offer a shield.</p><p><br/></p><p><em>The Girl/Boy Who Stayed: They didn't stay because they were "weak"; they stayed because they valued loyalty or didn't yet know their own worth.</em></p><p><em>The One Who Stayed Silent: They weren't "cowardly"; they were protecting themselves in a world that felt unsafe.</em></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Instead of seeing your past self as a stranger or an embarrassment, try viewing them as a younger sibling. You wouldn't yell at a child for not knowing how to read; you shouldn't yell at your 20-year-old self for not knowing how to set boundaries.</p><p>Healing begins when you stop apologizing for who you had to be to get to who you are today. <strong>You are the "After" to their "Before." You are the version of them that finally figured it out.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p>If you feel the weight of a past version of yourself pulling at you today, try acknowledging this<<<<em>What was that version of you trying to protect? ., "I was trying to be liked so I wouldn't feel alone."</em></p><p><em>What specific lesson did that version of you pay for? "I learned that my peace is worth more than someone else's approval."</em></p><p><strong>Thank that person for getting you here. You wouldn't have your current "knowing" if they hadn't done the "living."</strong></p>
At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
