<p>You woke up today with 24 hours.</p><p><br/></p><p>So did everyone else.</p><p><br/></p><p>The person who will become successful today got the same 24 hours as the person who will give up today.</p><p><br/></p><p>The person who will fall in love got the same 24 hours as the person who will finally accept that they are better off alone.</p><p><br/></p><p>The person who will receive life-changing news got the same 24 hours as the person who will spend the entire day refreshing a phone that never rings.</p><p><br/></p><p>24 hours.</p><p><br/></p><p>It sounds like a lot until you realise how quickly a day disappears.</p><p><br/></p><p>You wake up.</p><p><br/></p><p>Check your phone.</p><p><br/></p><p>Reply to a few messages.</p><p><br/></p><p>Scroll for "just five minutes."</p><p><br/></p><p>Think about something you should probably be doing.</p><p><br/></p><p>Tell yourself you'll do it later.</p><p><br/></p><p>Eat.</p><p><br/></p><p>Work.</p><p><br/></p><p>Complain about work.</p><p><br/></p><p>Laugh at something stupid.</p><p><br/></p><p>Remember someone you shouldn't.</p><p><br/></p><p>Open their chat.</p><p><br/></p><p>Close it.</p><p><br/></p><p>Open it again.</p><p><br/></p><p>Type something.</p><p><br/></p><p>Delete it.</p><p><br/></p><p>And somehow…</p><p><br/></p><p>it's night.</p><p><br/></p><p>You look at the clock and wonder where the day went.</p><p><br/></p><p>But the strange thing about 24 hours is that you rarely notice yourself spending it.</p><p><br/></p><p>Money hurts when you lose it because you can see the balance getting smaller.</p><p><br/></p><p>Time doesn't do that.</p><p><br/></p><p>Time leaves quietly.</p><p><br/></p><p>No notification.</p><p><br/></p><p>No receipt.</p><p><br/></p><p>No warning.</p><p><br/></p><p>Yesterday doesn't knock on your door and say,</p><p><br/></p><p>"I'm taking this hour back."</p><p><br/></p><p>It just disappears.</p><p><br/></p><p>And maybe that's why we treat tomorrow like it's guaranteed.</p><p><br/></p><p>"I'll call them tomorrow."</p><p><br/></p><p>"I'll start tomorrow."</p><p><br/></p><p>"I'll apologise tomorrow."</p><p><br/></p><p>"I'll tell them how I feel tomorrow."</p><p><br/></p><p>"I'll become the person I keep talking about becoming tomorrow."</p><p><br/></p><p>Tomorrow has become the place where we keep everything we are too scared to do today.</p><p><br/></p><p>And then one day, you realise something terrifying:</p><p><br/></p><p>You have been postponing your life.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not because you didn't have time.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because you kept waiting for the perfect time to use it.</p><p><br/></p><p>The perfect mood.</p><p><br/></p><p>The perfect opportunity.</p><p><br/></p><p>The perfect person.</p><p><br/></p><p>The perfect version of yourself.</p><p><br/></p><p>But life doesn't care about perfect timing.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes the opportunity comes while you're tired.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes love finds you when you're still healing.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes your biggest decision has to be made while you're terrified.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes you have to begin with shaking hands.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because 24 hours doesn't promise you a good day.</p><p><br/></p><p>It only gives you a day.</p><p><br/></p><p>What you do with it is the part nobody can do for you.</p><p><br/></p><p>And here's the part nobody really talks about:</p><p><br/></p><p>You don't need to change your entire life in 24 hours.</p><p><br/></p><p>You just need to stop wasting the hours pretending you have forever.</p><p><br/></p><p>Call your mother.</p><p><br/></p><p>Finish the thing you've been avoiding.</p><p><br/></p><p>Tell someone you appreciate them.</p><p><br/></p><p>Leave the place that's slowly destroying you.</p><p><br/></p><p>Start that idea.</p><p><br/></p><p>Read that book.</p><p><br/></p><p>Go outside.</p><p><br/></p><p>Forgive yourself.</p><p><br/></p><p>Rest if you're tired.</p><p><br/></p><p>Cry if you need to.</p><p><br/></p><p>Laugh without checking who's watching.</p><p><br/></p><p>And if all you can manage today is getting out of bed and trying again…</p><p><br/></p><p>that's still something.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because somewhere, someone is wishing they had one more ordinary day.</p><p><br/></p><p>One more boring morning.</p><p><br/></p><p>One more annoying conversation.</p><p><br/></p><p>One more chance to say what they never said.</p><p><br/></p><p>One more 24 hours.</p><p><br/></p><p>And you're sitting here with yours.</p><p><br/></p><p>Right now.</p><p><br/></p><p>Still breathing.</p><p><br/></p><p>Still capable of changing something.</p><p><br/></p><p>Still holding a day that hasn't happened yet.</p><p><br/></p><p>So maybe the question isn't:</p><p><br/></p><p>"What will I do with my life?"</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe that's too big.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe the real question is much smaller.</p><p><br/></p><p>Much scarier.</p><p><br/></p><p>Much more honest.</p><p><br/></p><p>What am I going to do with the 24 hours I've been given today?</p><p><br/></p><p>Because tomorrow will eventually become today.</p><p><br/></p><p>And one day…</p><p><br/></p><p>today will become the day you wish you could have back.</p>
At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
Top Engagers
For the Top Engagers Track, we award the top 3 people who engage the most with other user's content via
comments.
The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Engagers" tab on the rankings page.
Most Engaged Content
The Most Engaged Content recognizes users whose content received the most engagement during the month.
We pick the top 3.
The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Contributors" tab on the rankings page.
Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis
— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
