ASK THE SAME THING AGAIN.

It’s been a really long time since I entered TwoCents, but I just came across this while reading my Bible tonight and honestly, I had to stop and read it again. 🥹 “Ask the same thing again. You’ve brought this a hundred times. He listens like it’s the first.” This one really touched me because sometimes we genuinely get tired of praying about the same things. You pray for something today, you pray about it tomorrow, next week, next month… and when you still don’t see anything happening, you start feeling like maybe you should just stop talking about it. Maybe it’s that job you’ve been praying for.Maybe it’s admission.Maybe it’s your finances.Maybe it’s healing for yourself or someone you love.Maybe it’s a family situation you’ve been asking God to fix.Maybe it’s a relationship you’ve been praying about.Maybe it’s that one thing you don’t even know how to explain to anyone, but God knows exactly what you mean. And sometimes you just get to that point where you’re like, “God, I’ve told You this thing countless times already. What else do I have to say?” But reading this reminded me that God doesn’t get tired of us. Imagine telling a friend the same problem every single day. At some point, they might say, “Ah ah, you’ve told me this before.” But God isn’t like that. We can come to Him with the same prayer, the same tears, the same fears and the same questions. Even when all we can say is, “God, please, I still need You to do this for me.” And I think that’s the beautiful part. Sometimes we think our prayers have to sound different every time, but they don’t. God already knows what is in our hearts. So if you’ve been praying for something for a very long time and you’re beginning to feel discouraged, ask again. If you prayed for it yesterday, pray again today. If you’ve prayed about it for one year, pray again. If you’ve cried about it before, it’s okay to cry again. If you don’t know what else to say, just tell God exactly that. “Lord, I know I’ve brought this to You so many times, but I’m bringing it again because I still trust You.” Maybe the answer hasn’t come yet. Maybe the timing is different from what we expected. Maybe God is doing something we cannot see yet. But that doesn’t mean He stopped listening. This was such a simple reminder, but I really needed it tonight. And maybe someone scrolling through TwoCents needs it too. Don’t stop praying just because you’ve prayed about it before. Ask again.
