Beyond Words
<p>Now I know what Jesus meant when he said,</p><p>“Love them as much as you love yourself”</p><p><br/></p><p>I knew love had a greater meaning,</p><p>a meaning not found in words,</p><p>but in emotions,</p><p>portrayed through care and support</p><p><br/></p><p>The constant worries,</p><p>the eagerness to hear one’s voice,</p><p>the silent scream for joy</p><p><br/></p><p>Knowing that this part of you that you have found</p><p>makes you happy</p><p>and feels like something you never want to lose</p><p><br/></p><p>Anddd...</p><p><br/></p><p>Even when you’re not in close proximity,</p><p>you can still feel the emptiness</p><p><br/></p><p>And when you have it with you,</p><p>it fills that empty void,</p><p>making you feel whole</p><p><br/></p><p>So...</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe what Jesus said was not a condition</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe it was a standard</p><p><br/></p><p>A love that acts,</p><p>sacrifices,</p><p>and remains loyal</p><p>even when it is hard,</p><p>unseen,</p><p>or unrewarded</p><p><br/></p><p>This is the love that I now know</p><p><br/></p><p>Probably a love that is chosen,</p><p>again and again</p><p><br/></p><p>A love that does not rest on what I feel,</p><p>but on what I am willing to give</p><p><br/></p><p>A love that knows no bounds</p>
