One question that has really bothered me while writing this series is how to write about my very simple, very somewhat boring life while making it sound more interesting than it is, making the events feel less repetitive, while also keeping my life private and not accidentally giving away anything in the process (if that makes sense 😭)

I am currently on Day 16 and I still have no idea.

The only solution I've managed to come up with so far is a lot of unnecessary detours.

So...i guess, let's do that?

Apparently, I have now learnt 696 signs.

Although, if you asked me to name all 696 right now, there is a very good chance my brain would go completely blank.

Are we even sure I've learnt up to 100? Because it certainly doesn't feel like it 😂

I've also, finally, reached the first health section on ASL Bloom and Rihanna is going, baby, this is what you came for 🎶 😂😂

I hope they teach me how to say I'm silently losing my mind.

On another note, my spoken languages have been suffering.

Badly.

I keep telling myself I'll get back to them, but every free moment I have somehow ends up being spent drawing.

And honestly I can't even complain because I thoroughly enjoy it now 😅

I'm also trying to get better at it.

People have been looking at some of my drawings like I've done something incredible (thank you 😭), but I'm just fully convinced that it's a matter of luck and God's grace.

I genuinely don't know how some of them came out as well as they did.

Maybe if I were brave enough to show you the bad ones too, you wouldn't praise me nearly as much 😭

I do want to learn properly though.

Especially humans. Specifically, faces.

I've wanted to be able to draw people since I was a kid, and somehow, after all these years, I still can't. I've tried before, failed spectacularly, and abandoned it more times than I care to admit.

So I'm having another go.

And I am prayingggg that I actually get somewhere with it this time 😭

I am completely self-taught by the way, and I know embarrassingly little about actual art.

Colour theory? Couldn't tell you.

The Loomis method? Don't know her.

Light and Shadow? I'm still left in the dark.

Anatomy? Let's not even go there.

I mostly just look at things, try to copy what I see, erase things when they look wrong, repeat the process and hope for the best 😂

If I ever learn how to use anything other than a pencil, my process will definitely have to change.

But that's a problem for another day 🖤
