GRADUADO!πŸŽ“

πŸŽ“

Your girl is officially SIGNED OUT!

Signed out of 7 a.m. lectures. Signed out of academic pressure. Signed out of sleepless nights, examination anxiety, submission deadlines, last-minute reading, endless course registrations, lecturers' wahala, group assignments where three people do the work of ten, and that familiar university experience of checking your timetable and wondering who offended the management. πŸ˜‚

SIGNED. OUT.

Please, somebody should bring my certificate. I'm no longer available for these activities. Thank you!

But honestly, can we talk about October 29 for a moment?

Because WHAT EXACTLY WAS THAT?! 😭❀️

I knew I was going to be excited about my sign-out, but I genuinely didn't anticipate the magnitude of love that came with it. At some point, it started feeling like my second birthday. The messages, calls, gifts, surprises, prayers, beautiful words and overwhelming show of affection were something else entirely.

I was receiving so much love that I almost needed an assistant to help me process everything. And the gifts? Omo! Frames, wines, cakes and other thoughtful presents, including post-sign-out surprises. I was genuinely overwhelmed. I couldn't even eat properly. πŸ˜‚

Apparently, people had been planning their own little surprises, and I was busy thinking I was the only one making preparations.

Now, let's discuss the outfit.

Because, respectfully, I did not just wake up on October 29 and wear anything that looked available. NO!

I carefully curated that outfit. Every detail was intentional. I had a picture of what I wanted, and I was determined to bring that picture to life.

And when the compliments started coming in, I knew the assignment had been understood. πŸ˜‚

People were stopping to appreciate the outfit, asking questions and telling me how much they loved it. Even after the sign-out, the compliments kept coming.

I mean, what's the point of having a sign-out if you cannot give people something to discuss? Please, let's be serious. πŸ˜‚

But beyond the outfit, the pictures, the videos and all the beautiful moments, there were certain things that made October 29 particularly special to me.

FIRST GRADUATE IN MY FAMILY. LET THAT SINK IN.

My mum and dad's first graduate.

I honestly don't think I can adequately explain what that means to me. To be the first child of three and also the first to cross this particular academic milestone in my family is something I will never take for granted.

It is one thing to pursue a degree for yourself. It is another thing to understand that your achievement represents something bigger than you.

And I am grateful. Deeply grateful.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 has remained one of those scriptures I constantly hold on to: He has made everything beautiful in its time.

And looking at October 29, I couldn't help but reflect on that scripture.

The timing, the people, the experiences, the lessons, the unexpected turns and the beautiful ending to this particular chapter. Everything reminded me that there is a time for everything.

A QUICK SHOUT-OUT TO MY PEOPLE.

I also need to appreciate the people who contributed to making this journey what it was.

Some people made the journey easier, some showed up when it mattered, some believed in me, some offered help without being asked, and some simply made the experience worth remembering.

I see you. I appreciate you. And I will never take your kindness for granted.

Now, something else I particularly enjoyed was how intentional my friends and I were about the entire experience.

There are four of us, and we were not about to let this milestone pass without creating beautiful memories.

We made time for pictures, videos, content and all the necessary craziness. πŸ˜‚

We planned ahead, coordinated things and made sure we had enough time to enjoy ourselves.

And honestly, that preparation saved us.

Because guess what?

I had an examination on the same day!

PUBLIC SECTOR ACCOUNTING. THREE UNITS.

Imagine preparing for your sign-out and still having to remember that you have an examination to write. The university really said, "You thought you were leaving just like that?" πŸ˜‚

But surprisingly, that examination turned out to be one of the best examinations I wrote throughout the entire examination period.

I walked into that examination hall and did my thing. Who would have thought that I would be writing an examination on the same day I was signing out and still have such a wonderful experience?

Please, if you have signed out before, is this how it usually feels?

Because I danced!

I DANCED MY ASS OUT. πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

People were telling me, "Princess, calm down!"

CALM DOWN FOR WHAT?

You don't know what I've seen!

Seventy-three courses. No carryovers. Good grades. Leadership responsibilities. Student politics. Organising physical events. Leading teams. Managing communities. Building relationships. Navigating unexpected situations and figuring things out even when I didn't have everything figured out.

AAUASU, AAUALDS, Tax Club, Cowrywise Ambassadors and several other experiences that shaped my university journey.

Four years of learning, unlearning, growing, leading, making mistakes, taking responsibility and becoming a different version of myself.

You want me to stand quietly and smile for pictures? After all that?

PLEASE! πŸ˜‚

My TikTok is currently on fire, my WhatsApp status is working overtime, and I have absolutely no intention of apologising for enjoying myself.

I have earned this celebration. Let me enjoy it!

And I must say, one thing I particularly appreciate is that I was able to make memories with the people who mattered to me. The spontaneous laughter, the pictures, the videos, the dancing, the gifts and the beautiful conversations.

These are the things I know I will return to years from now and smile.

Of course, I cannot possibly document every single experience from my four years at AAUA in one article. There is simply too much to unpack.

In fact, I am currently putting together a 12-episode video memoir titled "FOUR YEARS OF SHEGE", which will premiere on YouTube on November 30th 2026.

Yes, TWELVE EPISODES!

Because apparently, I have too many stories to tell. πŸ˜‚

From the academic experiences to leadership, friendships, unexpected plot twists, difficult seasons, personal growth and everything in between, I want to document this journey properly.

And because I know not everybody will sit through twelve episodes of my storytelling (although you should πŸ˜‚), I also intend to share the written version of some of these experiences here on TwoCents.

So, please, support me!

Read, engage, share your thoughts and let's relive some of these moments together.

And before I forget, can we appreciate the fact that I am BACK ON TWOCENTS?

I LEFT ON OCTOBER 18 BECAUSE OF EXAMINATIONS!

I missed reading from you people. I missed the conversations, the interesting perspectives, the random discoveries, the competition, the storytelling and the beautiful community we have here.

I have been away for a little while, but I'm back now, and I'm looking forward to catching up on everything I missed.

To everyone who celebrated me, sent a message, gave a gift, made a call, said a prayer, shared a post or simply took a moment to acknowledge my milestone, THANK YOU.

You made October 29 even more beautiful than I imagined.

And to the undergraduates reading this, please, enjoy your university experience. Make memories. Build relationships. Take opportunities. Learn beyond the classroom. Don't be afraid to try things. Document your journey.

And when your time comes, PLEASE DANCE!

You don't have to calm down. πŸ˜‚

CONGRATULATIONS IS THE ONLY VALID CONVERSATION RIGHT NOW.

Your girl is officially signed out with a BSc in Accounting (2026).

But are we stopping here?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

There are more degrees to bag, more rooms to enter, more mountains to climb, more stories to tell and more work to do.

One degree down. A lifetime of possibilities ahead.

GRADUADO! πŸ₯‚πŸŽ“πŸ©΅
