After what Ajibode nepa showed me,i decided to do a comeback 🥱 🥱,guess the weapon i used 🌚 A POWER BANK. I know. A whole me. Somebody who has been disappointed 😫😫😫by power banks before. Why would I willingly do that to myself again? I honestly don’t know. Maybe the picture was just too clean. Maybe I was feeling adventurous. Maybe I just wanted to prove a point to myself. Whatever it was, I placed the order and immediately started hoping my money was not about to go on another expensive journey. When it arrived, I didn’t even take a picture. I wasn’t expecting anything. I had already rehearsed my speech: “This is the last time. If this one disappoints me, I’m done. I’ll become the person who is always asking, ‘abeg, who has charger?’ at every party, every meeting, every gathering. That will be my new identity. I will embrace it with my full chest.” First green flag? The packaging. I looked at it and said, awwwn awwwn,dope packaging o. Oya nau, here goes nothing. I opened it slowly, like somebody opening a parcel that might contain either hope or heartbreak. The power bank was there, sitting inside, looking all neat and innocent. I checked the cable twice. Not because I’m paranoid, but because trust issues no dey finish. But mehnnnn,😂😂 after my first use, I had to take a picture. This power bank charged my phone from low battery to full without complaining. No drama. No sudden death. No “1% remaining” after two minutes. I kept looking at it like, are you sure? Are you actually working? Because my history with power banks has made me suspicious of anything that does its job well. I even plugged another phone just to confirm. It did the work. Calmly. No noise. No overheating. No attitude. Then light went off and I didn’t even panic. I just looked at my power bank like, “my dear, over to you.” And it delivered. And the funniest part? I’m still using it till date. It has not embarrassed me. It has not gone on strike. It has not developed attitude. It just sits there, does its work, and minds its business. Honestly, that is the kind of relationship I want. Consistent. Reliable. No unnecessary surprises.
