I HATE HER PT3

I remembered that night.

Very well.

It was supposed to be a normal night. We argued over something that, honestly, I can barely even remember now.

I was angry. She was quiet.

At some point, I asked her what was wrong.

She said, “Nothing.”

I hate that word.

Because sometimes when someone says “nothing,” there is actually a whole conversation happening inside them.

I sent her messages that night. She didn't reply.

I called.

No answer.

By the next morning, something had changed.

She became distant.

And before I could even understand what was happening, she was already pulling away from me.

So when she asked if I remembered that night, I replied:

“Yes. You left.”

She took a while before replying.

Then:

“No. I didn't leave you.”

I read it again.

Then she sent another message.

“I left because of what I found out that night.”

That was when I became confused.

“What did you find out?”

She didn't answer immediately.

Then her message came:

“Someone close to you was lying to you.”

I just stared at my phone.

Who?

I started going through the names in my head.

My friends.

People I trusted.

People I had defended.

People I never thought I'd have a reason to doubt.

Then she sent a screenshot.

I opened it.

And honestly...

I wish I hadn't.

Because the name at the top of that conversation was someone I trusted more than I probably should have.
