Is THis Fulfillment Or Just A Beautiful Distraction
<p>I finally got</p><p>everything I said I wanted..</p><p>the silence stopped,</p><p>the nights felt shorter,</p><p>my phone lit up</p><p>with the right name.</p><p>So why does it still feel like</p><p>something is missing?</p><p>I smile more now,</p><p>laugh at the right moments,</p><p>say “I’m good”</p><p>and almost believe it.</p><p>Almost.</p><p>Because when it gets quiet..</p><p>really quiet..</p><p>there’s a voice</p><p>I can’t outrun.</p><p>Asking me questions</p><p>I don’t answer in public.</p><p>Is this peace…</p><p>or just comfort dressed as it?</p><p>Is this love…</p><p>or am I just afraid</p><p>to be alone again?</p><p>You hold me right,</p><p>say the things</p><p>that sound like forever..</p><p>but forever</p><p>has lied to me before.</p><p>And I hate</p><p>how good this feels.</p><p>Because the last time</p><p>it felt this right..</p><p>it ended</p><p>just as perfectly.</p><p>So now I’m stuck</p><p>between wanting this</p><p>to be real…</p><p>and waiting</p><p>for it to fall apart.</p><p>And maybe that’s the problem.</p><p>Not you.</p><p>Not this.</p><p>But me..</p><p>standing in something soft</p><p>with hands still trained</p><p>for war.</p><p>So tell me..</p><p>is this fulfillment…</p><p>or just another moment</p><p>I’ll have to heal from later?</p>
