<p>The Pawpaw Nobody Wanted.</p><p><br/></p><p>There was a pawpaw sitting quietly among the others.</p><p><br/></p><p>Nothing about it demanded attention.</p><p><br/></p><p>It wasn’t the biggest.</p><p>It wasn’t the brightest.</p><p>Its skin had a few marks on it, and honestly, it looked like the kind of fruit you would pick up, inspect for two seconds, and put back.</p><p><br/></p><p>So everyone reached for the perfect ones.</p><p><br/></p><p>The smooth ones.</p><p>The spotless ones.</p><p>The ones that looked good enough to be photographed.</p><p><br/></p><p>And the pawpaw stayed there.</p><p><br/></p><p>Day after day.</p><p><br/></p><p>Until someone finally picked it up.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not because it looked special.</p><p><br/></p><p>But because they were hungry.</p><p><br/></p><p>They cut it open.</p><p><br/></p><p>And that was when they realized something uncomfortable:</p><p><br/></p><p>the part everyone judged was never the part they were supposed to eat.</p><p><br/></p><p>The skin had scars.</p><p>The outside had aged.</p><p>But inside, it was soft, sweet, and full of life.</p><p><br/></p><p>It made me think about how strange reality is.</p><p><br/></p><p>We spend so much time choosing people by their packaging.</p><p><br/></p><p>Who looks successful.</p><p>Who speaks confidently.</p><p>Who dresses well.</p><p>Who seems happy.</p><p>Who has the right friends.</p><p>Who appears to have their life figured out.</p><p><br/></p><p>And sometimes, the person we overlook is carrying the very thing we have been searching for.</p><p><br/></p><p>Some people don't look like peace.</p><p><br/></p><p>They look tired.</p><p><br/></p><p>Some don't look like love.</p><p><br/></p><p>They look guarded.</p><p><br/></p><p>Some don't look like they are winning.</p><p><br/></p><p>They are simply surviving quietly.</p><p><br/></p><p>And some people have been rejected so many times that they stopped trying to convince anyone that there is something beautiful inside them.</p><p><br/></p><p>But here is the part nobody tells you:</p><p><br/></p><p>Not everything valuable is designed to look valuable from the outside.</p><p><br/></p><p>A pawpaw doesn't become sweet because you compliment its skin.</p><p><br/></p><p>And a person doesn't become worthy because you finally notice them.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe that's why we shouldn't be so quick to judge what we don't understand.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because sometimes...</p><p><br/></p><p>the thing you keep overlooking isn't ordinary.</p><p><br/></p><p>You just haven't opened it yet.</p>

The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality

Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.

Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.

Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.

Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.

Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
Top Engagers
For the Top Engagers Track, we award the top 3 people who engage the most with other user's content via
comments.
The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Engagers" tab on the rankings page.
Most Engaged Content
The Most Engaged Content recognizes users whose content received the most engagement during the month.
We pick the top 3.
The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Contributors" tab on the rankings page.
Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis
— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
