Karma Is A Cheat!😖
<p><strong>What goes around sometimes doesn't come around.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Before you shout at me, yes, Karma is a cheat! How do I put it? Sometimes, what goes up doesn't come down. Instead, it gets stuck on the tree.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Before you plan against me, let me tell you a true life story.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">There was a man going on a journey alongside his concubine, and it got late. They couldn't continue the journey, so they had to find a place to get shelter for the night. They came to a man's house who offered them shelter, and immediately he got in, he decided to take shelter with his concubine.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Along the line, a knock was heard on the door. It increased to two, then three, then multiple knocks, like they were about to tear down the house. The owner of the house opened the door and noticed it was the men of the city asking that the man who had come into the house be brought out to them. But the man offered his own daughter, and the stupid man forced his concubine out. She was molested all through the night.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">By the time it was morning, he was ready to leave, and he met her lying helplessly on the doorstep of the house. He said, stupidly, "Get up." When he saw that she wasn't responding, he helped her up and placed her on his donkey.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">You could have thought that when he got home, he would get her treated.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Nopeeee!</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">He brought out a knife and divided her body into twelve parts, along with her bones, and sent them to the twelve tribes of Israel.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">This is a true story, and it is written in the Bible. Judges 19. Go and confirm it.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Now, this man was a Levite.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Yessssss!!!</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Now you understand the depth of the words, "The heart of men are desperately wicked."</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Do you know what happened to the man afterwards?</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">He went scot free.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Nothing happened to him.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Yes, there was war because of what happened in Gibeah. There were consequences, but did anything happen to the man who actually divided that woman's body?</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">The Bible doesn't tell us that he was punished.</span></p><p>Nothing.</p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Let's talk about another person.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Herodias.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">John the Baptist's head was served on a platter. Herodias hated John because John condemned her marriage to Herod. She eventually got the opportunity to have John killed when her daughter danced at Herod's birthday celebration and Herod promised her whatever she requested.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">She asked for John's head.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">And she got it. Mark 6:17-29, if you want the full story.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">For those familiar with the Bible, you know what happened. John died. And the Bible doesn't record Herodias receiving any obvious punishment for arranging his death.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Nothing happened.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Hellooooo!</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Let's return to reality.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Sometimes, we like the idea of karma because it makes us feel safe. If somebody hurts us, we want to believe life will eventually hurt them back. If someone betrays us, they will be betrayed. If someone makes us cry, they will cry. If someone destroys us, something will come and destroy them too.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">We love that story.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">I do too.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">But life doesn't always tell that story.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">I have had people hurt me in so many ways, and I have wished terrible things on them. Karma and all that stuff.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Guess what?</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">They are living their lives comfortably. In fact, better than they were when they hurt me.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Am I pained?</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Yes!</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">But I have to let go.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Because the funny part is, if you don't let go and stop waiting on karma, you will be at the losing end too. You will become stagnant. You will be short on so many opportunities because you are busy waiting for someone else's downfall. You will bleed on people who were never the ones who stained your white in the first place.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">And before you know it, the person who hurt you has moved on, but you are still allowing what they did to control your life.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">You become a threat to your own destiny.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">There is something my mum used to say:</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">"Don't let a witch kill you. The witch might give their life to Christ and you will forever be stuck."</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">And honestly, that thing has stayed with me.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">You cannot allow someone else's wickedness to become the reason you never become who you were supposed to be. More reason you must discern what God has for you. Know people's motives before giving them access to you. Before giving them a part of you that, when battled with, might destroy you for a while.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Not everyone deserves access.</span></p><p><br/></p><p>Not everyone deserves your vulnerability.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not everyone deserves a seat at your table simply because you are a good person.</p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">And when someone eventually hurts you, heal. Don't spend your whole life waiting for their downfall.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">You need to stop waiting on Karma and heal up.</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Because what if Karma never comes? What will you do with the life you still have? What will you do with the opportunities waiting for you? What will you do with the people God sends who had nothing to do with the person who hurt you?</span></p><p><br/></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Sometimes, you don't get revenge. Sometimes, you don't get an apology. Sometimes, you don't even get an explanation. Sometimes, you just have to leave it.</span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;"><br/></span></p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">Not because what they did was okay. Not because it didn't hurt. But because you deserve to be free from carrying them.</span></p><p><br/></p><p>Because honestly?</p><p><br/></p><p>Karma is a cheat.</p><p><br/></p><p>What goes around sometimes doesn't come around.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes, breeze use to blow it Away!</p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;"><br/></span></p><p><strong><span style="background-color: transparent;">Maybe it is time to rethink the hatred you are carrying today...</span><span style="background-color: transparent;">Because they might never pay for what they did, but you spend the rest of your life paying for it?</span></strong></p>
