Me, what the fuck about me?

You all want to know abii? I am of the streets by the streets and for the streets. My workings choke. Test me and you go see say I be military democrat and you go collect wetin no good. Others say I was touched by the gods because i had very weird birthmarks on my palms. I liked being the anomaly and joked that I had the hand of god. Nana used to say that I be the pikin wey never done. Obobb, looking back I think he had a point.

They say I was wrapped in a newspaper with blood stains and a piece of paper with the inscription 'SAMUEL BASSEY IBOK'. I guess I was always meant for the headlines! For some reason, the hospital used that as my name. You see on the streets everyone had a nick name. Some person's never needed one because their names already told a story. My case was quite different because no one knew what my parents actually wanted to name me.

Samuel was a Prophet, Bassey was the English version of God in Ibibio and IBOK meant Drugs, Juju, or Medicine depending on the context. If you do the maths you'd see that I was born for this- I mean the streets. I am who I am and I refused to be boxed by names. Shii, I am out of context ! Maybe God didn't touch me but I touched him.

Still on still, na me be who is in the garden and na me still hide a little fine girl... No go talk when dem no ask you especially when I de on my Ronaldo Celebrations... Aboby mens go SIUUU later. I go lie for you!

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

Contributor Rankings

— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
