Procrastination: I’ll Do It Tomorrow

“I’ll do it tomorrow.”

How many times have we said those words??

Tomorrow, I’ll start studying.

Tomorrow, I’ll finish that assignment.

Tomorrow, I’ll start that project.

Tomorrow, I’ll finally do that thing I’ve been putting off.

And somehow, tomorrow always has another tomorrow waiting for it.

The funny thing about procrastination is that it rarely feels serious at first. You tell yourself you’re just tired. You’ll do it later. You still have enough time.

Then the deadline gets closer.

Suddenly, the thing you could have done calmly over several days becomes something you have to rush through in one night.

Sometimes I wonder if we actually procrastinate because we’re lazy, or because starting something can feel overwhelming. Maybe we’re afraid we won’t do it perfectly. Maybe we simply don't feel ready.

But the truth is, waiting until you feel ready can keep you waiting forever.

There will always be another excuse. Another distraction. Another “tomorrow.”

And before you know it, something you really wanted to do becomes something you wish you had started earlier.

Maybe the hardest part isn't finishing.

Maybe it's simply starting.

So, if there’s something you’ve been saying you’ll do tomorrow, perhaps tomorrow shouldn't be the plan this time.

Start today.

Even if it’s just a little.
