It seems all our lives are tied to one form of association or the other. I think people strongly understand the relevance and power of interaction as a congregation. that is why naturally, if feels good to be around other people, weather family, friend, acquaintance, group or sect. The individual-centered way of living, popularize these days, is in contrast to this form of living. The journey of globalization is one littered with uniformity of associations that has afford relations much convenience now through communication and transport. This alliances may be traced more saliently after the advent of the state and state system.families became Hamlets, hamlets grew into villages , villages transcend into community, communities to cities and cities into states. However, the conglomeration of all of this association symbolises a "society".A society can then be understood to be an equilibrium (theoretically for now) of unified associational interests, within a distinct unit (territory), in dealing with a different society. The ideal Nigerian society represent a unity of divergent associations (ethnicity,religion, political party) and sub-associations ( tribe, family, club) that project the interest of their members, who are seeking to influence policy at whatsoever level, to service their interest.At the same time, this society, in the aftermath of some form of unity, represent a collective interest of this association, who in the course of interaction with each other, subconsciously build a new common culture that only "they" (association ) relate to. eventually, they understand this better when an alien factor encroaches forcing them to relegate their petty disagreement for the greater threat, that threatens both of their interest simultaneously. that is why national sentiment is effectively utilise during wars for collective action and utility.This opinion supports the claim that the origin,relevance and purpose of the state is international relations. The state remains of fundamental importance to the very existence of a society due to necessity of external relations with other societies. If these associatios fail to mobilize themselves into a society, that creates a state, they will ultimately fall under the sphere of control of another more powerful association (society (state)). despites it's limitations, fundamentally,a society such as this offers relative security and stability in contrast to its absence, and dealing directly with the external environment at an individual or sub-association level. At this point, the thought of internal conflict within a society are not terminated, but less emphasize on the scale of collective interest. A progressive state is then perceived as one that prioritize antagonizing an alien society as a whole, rather than focusing on associational internal interests due to the phenomenon of an open word. The Nigerian territory combines different variant interests, that has caused it to create something entirely new. From clashes over time, the divergent interests have intermingle and formulated a Nigerian identity, especially through communication ( broken English) and pop culture even in behaviour and mannerism. The Nigerian identity then takes the posture of a Nigerian society in external relations, and thereby the Nigerian state to further the societal interest locally but most importantly abroad. It is important to note that our society owns our loyalty and allegiance due to its intimate origin. regardless of our grievance with the Nigerian government, we are a people who have created heavy dependency on each other over the cause of time despite our constant conflict, that the absence of this would reveal a reality we have given little thought to. the reality of no Nigeria or less Nigerian.God bless Nigeria.
