I better start packing my things, and that’s the end of today's work, is what came through her mind.</p><p><br/></p><p>She headed out the door and waved at the security guard. "Till Monday, Oga Paul!"</p><p><br/></p><p>She didn’t drive to work today, and didn’t order an Uber. They’ll bill me! Today is Friday abeg, I can manage, she said to herself. She didn’t have kids and wasn’t married, but she had a boyfriend—a loving, caring boyfriend.</p><p><br/></p><p>Ouuu... today is Friday, crossed her mind again.</p><p><br/></p><p>With excitement, she boarded a DANFO, her earpieces plugged in. She paid the conductor and continued on her way. Her earpieces were still plugged, so when she heard external voices, she brushed them off and just kept walking. She walked and walked and walked... then she saw something she wanted. </p><p><br/></p><p>She reached into her purse and said... ouuuu... today is Fridayyy.</p><p><br/></p><p>What did she buy????</p><p><br/></p><p>She continued walking and walking; her boyfriend was waiting for her at their usual meeting spot. She smiled at the glimpse of his plate number.</p><p><br/></p><p>Today really is Friday...</p><p><br/></p><p>Then she opened the door, sat in the front seat of the SUV, and kissed her man. "Hmmm, babe..." was what came after.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then she gave her babe what she bought, and he smiled and said, "Thank God it’s Friday..."</p><p><br/></p><p>What did she buy??? I know she bought something, but what’s that? What’s in that carton??</p><p><br/></p><p>I’ll tell you...</p><p><br/></p><p>She bought a broadband router! What better way to spend a weekend than to binge your favorite TV shows? And those external voices she heard through her earpieces earlier? They were just internet marketers on the street!</p><p><br/></p><p>At least it’s Friday... What are you doing this Friday??</p><p><br/></p><p>Oh snap…it’s Monday again..</p>
