THE FRIEND I DIDN'T EXPECT!
<p><strong>I left behind the place I had called home for fourteen years.</strong></p><p>Everything felt unfamiliar, and I had no idea what the new place would bring.</p><p>I didn't know that somewhere in all that change, I would meet her.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong><em>At first, I thought she talked too much.</em></strong></p><p>There was always something to say, another story, another conversation.</p><p>I never imagined that one day, I would find comfort in all those words.</p><p><br/></p><p>She was the first to call me her best friend.</p><p>I didn't think much of it at first; I just let her say it.</p><p>But somewhere along the way, I realised I had started calling her the same.</p><p><br/></p><p>The more I knew her, the more I understood that there was more to her than I first saw.</p><p>She became the person I could laugh with, talk to, and simply be myself around.</p><p>Funny how someone you barely notice at first can become someone you never want to lose.</p><p><br/></p><p>It's been almost three years now.</p><p>We've grown, changed, made memories, and still have so much ahead of us.</p><p>And I hope the friendship we have today is only the beginning of everything we'll achieve together.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe some people don't come into your life when you're looking for them.</p><p>Maybe they find you right when you're beginning a new chapter.</p><p style="text-align: right; "><strong><em>And maybe, sometimes, the best friendships start with someone you thought talked too much. 😭</em></strong></p>
