The Passage Of Time
<p style="text-align: justify; ">Time does not always feel like movement.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Sometimes it feels like standing in the same place while everything around you quietly changes.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">The face in the mirror is still yours. The road is still the same road. The responsibilities are still waiting.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">But something has shifted.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">A year disappears between one plan and another. A person who was once figuring things out is suddenly expected to have answers. The things that once felt urgent lose their importance, while the things ignored for too long begin demanding attention.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">That is how time works.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">It rarely arrives as a big moment.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">It hides inside ordinary days.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">You wake up, do what needs to be done, worry about money, chase an opportunity, miss one, find another, complain about how slow life is moving, and then realise the year is almost gone.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Nothing stopped.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">You just weren't counting.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Maybe that is why people keep postponing their lives.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Waiting for more money.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">More confidence.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">More certainty.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">A better opportunity.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">A better version of themselves.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">But time does not wait for the person we are trying to become.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">It keeps moving with the unfinished version.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">And perhaps growing is not about suddenly becoming ready. Maybe it is learning to move while still uncertain, to make decisions before everything makes sense, and to understand that some things will only become clear after we have already passed through them.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">The strange thing about time is that it gives us enough to live, but never enough to control everything.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">So the days keep coming.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">And we keep becoming.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Quietly.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Without permission.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Without announcement.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Until one day, the person you are today becomes someone you can no longer return to.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Not because you lost yourself.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Because time did its job.</p>
