The Pressure to Have Your Life Figured Out

We live in a time where everyone seems to have a plan.

Someone is graduating.

Someone is getting married.

Someone just bought a car.

Someone is starting a business.

Someone is travelling.

Someone is making money online.

And then you look at yourself and start wondering, “What exactly am I doing with my life?”

The funny thing is, you may actually be making progress—you just don't recognize it because you're comparing your chapter 2 to someone else's chapter 15.

Sometimes, we put unnecessary pressure on ourselves because we think we're late.

But life isn't a race where everyone is supposed to arrive at the same destination at the same time.

You can be 20 and still figuring things out.

You can be 25 and change your career.

You can be 30 and start again.

You can fail at something you've spent years building and still find your way.

Not having everything figured out doesn't mean you're failing. Sometimes, you're simply still becoming.

And that's okay.

💭 Reflection for readers

Before you compare your life with someone else's, ask yourself:

Am I actually behind, or am I just comparing?
