<span class="html-content"><p>The title is throwing you off, right?</p>
<p>You're probably thinking, "so after all these grammar she has been teaching, she still dropped a mega bomb?"</p>
<p>I did not my dears😁😁🤣🤣, I just want to know where your head is at when it comes to politics and pushing for a better future</p>
<p>Oh you so were not expecting that😎😎😎</p>
<p>Let us dive in then!!!</p>
<p>We are well aware of the Nigerian political scene and the clamour by different sides to make the well revered presidential seat.</p>
<p>This has seen the nation being so involved in the daily happenings more than ever</p>
<p>A spike in the registration for PVCs(Permanent Voters Card) is a good sign, maybe a pointer that people are really ready to fight for and take back their country</p>
<p>While this is very commendable, what are the opportunity costs?</p>
<p>You're confused, so let me break it down</p>
<p>Nigerians have thrived on a corruption-pushing environment for decades</p>
<p>If you believe you haven't been a recipient of a corrupt society, then maybe you need to take a closer look</p>
<p>Those queues you jump because you know the bank manager, the store clerk, or any front desk officer, the petrol attendant and so on</p>
<p>Those privileges you get because your uncle or aunty knows someone in one office</p>
<p>The redeployment you pay for because you want to serve in another state</p>
<p>The favours naturally bestowed on you because your parents are affluent</p>
<p>The price segmentation you practice because this person "no too get money(does not have money) or "this person go buy plenty so make I increase price"</p>
<p>The cheating that occurs because "this person no sabi how e dey go", especially when someone is new to a place or environment</p>
<p>The unnecessary inflation of landlord prices at their discretion</p>
<p>The payment for admission slots because you really cannot be bothered with letting your child get in on their merit</p>
<p>I could go on about the very cankerworm eating into the fabric of our corruption ridden society</p>
<p>If indeed, we make the right decision at the polls, are we ready to abide by law and order?</p>
<p>Are we ready to let go of the privileges corruption allowed?</p>
<p>Are we really ready to uphold the constitutional independence?</p>
<p>Is the media finally going to be an independent, incorruptible weapon or would it continually be the death of us?</p>
<p>Are we going to stop praising lackluster lifestyles that reflect nothing of nationalism?</p>
<p>Are we going to stop godfatherism and putting people on a pedestal they did not earn?</p>
<p>Is the workplace going to stop being a pressure cooker and an actual positive culture-centric environment?</p>
<p>Are business owners going to have seamless processes in getting registered?</p>
<p>Are we ready to stop using the police as personal bodyguards or errand boys when we please?</p>
<p>These and more are questions that flow through my mind daily?</p>
<p>Are we really ready?</p>
<p>If we are, that's great but I don't see the evidence</p>
<p>Until then, ask yourself if you are ready? </p>
<p>By the way, I read a story of how sim registration centers affiliated with major Telecommunication companies use people's information to play dirty games </p>
<p>Find the full story on @ijeomadaisy on Instagram</p>
<p>It's appalling and I urge us to be safe when we go to register our sims</p>
<p>That was part of the inspiration for this post.</p>
<p>Much love 😘😘</p>

I do accept tips for my written and vocal litanies
At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to 7 people with the best insights in the past month. The 7 winners are picked
by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Top Engagers
For the Top Engagers Track, we award the top 3 people who engage the most with other user's content via
comments.
The winners are picked using the "Monthly Engagers" tab on the rankings page.
Most Engaged Content
The Most Engaged Content recognizes users whose content received the most engagement during the month.
We pick the top 3.
The winners are picked using the "Monthly Contributors" tab on the rankings page.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
Contributor Rankings
The Contributor Rankings shows the Top 20 Contributors on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis.
The all-time ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly score sums the score on all your insights in the past 30 days. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on TwoCents — these are community members that have engaged the most with other user's content.
