Have you ever seen two people who genuinely love each other, but someone else's hatred becomes the reason their relationship falls apart? Well, this is the story of Ahmad and Moyin. Ahmad was a young Hausa man who fell in love with Moyin, a Yoruba lady. Despite coming from different ethnic backgrounds, they found something special in each other, and their relationship blossomed. Moyin was happy with Ahmad, and from what we could see, the two of them were serious about their relationship. But there was one person who seemed to have a problem with it. Shola, Moyin's elder brother. Shola was the kind of brother who was very protective of his sister. You know how some brothers can be when their sister starts dating? They want to know everything about the guy, where he comes from, what he does, and whether he's good enough for their sister. But Shola's own case was different. His overprotectiveness was about to become something much more dangerous. While Ahmad and Moyin were enjoying their relationship, Shola was carrying feelings and beliefs that Moyin knew little about. And although he was part of her life, she couldn't have imagined how much his actions would eventually cost her. Meanwhile, Shola had a girlfriend named Ife, whom he loved dearly. Ife and Shola had their own relationship, and everything seemed to be going well between them. Ife was also familiar with Moyin, who was known to be a jovial and friendly person. Nobody could have predicted how much their lives would change in the coming weeks. For Ahmad and Moyin, however, life was still beautiful. They were in love, making memories, and enjoying the kind of happiness that makes you look forward to what the future holds. And then came the picnic. It was supposed to be another day for Ahmad and Moyin to spend time together. Nothing out of the ordinary, just two people in love wanting to enjoy each other's company. But sometimes, the days we look forward to the most are the ones we never imagine could change our lives. And what happened next would leave Moyin with a pain she could never easily explain, a secret she would struggle to keep, and a reason to question the very person she had grown up trusting. Because before that day ended, Ahmad would be gone. And the person responsible would be someone Moyin never expected. To be continued…
