<p>The moon has been lying</p><p>about where it goes at night.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe it falls asleep.</p><p>Tell me,</p><p>why has it decided to be locked up till dawn</p><p>if it isn't sleeping?</p><p><br/></p><p>Who keeps the key?</p><p>Who tells it when to come back?</p><p>Who decides that the night</p><p>has had enough of its absence?</p><p><br/></p><p>Should we trust the moon</p><p>just because it returns?</p><p>Does returning make a lie</p><p>any less of a lie?</p><p><br/></p><p>Then what about the sun?</p><p><br/></p><p>It burns so bright</p><p>and always decides to leave.</p><p>Every evening.</p><p>It disappears.</p><p><br/></p><p>Does the sun lie too?</p><p>Or does it shine too bright</p><p>for me to understand?</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe brightness</p><p>has always been another way</p><p>of hiding things.</p><p><br/></p><p>Perhaps the sun feels</p><p>there are things we should not see.</p><p>Perhaps that is why it burns our eyes</p><p>when we stare too long.</p><p><br/></p><p>If the moon can disappear</p><p>and still be called beautiful,</p><p><br/></p><p>what does that make us</p><p>when we disappear for a while?</p><p><br/></p><p>P.S. no title yet ðŸ˜Â </p>
