WHAT IF PRAYER IS ACTUALLY TALKING TO GOD, OUR FATHER?
<p>I recently started thinking about something: have we sometimes made prayer more complicated than God intended it to be?</p><p>Maybe I'm not the only one who thought prayer had to always involve crying, shouting, kneeling, or spending hours trying to convince God to listen. But when you look at Scripture, you begin to see something beautiful:</p><p>Prayer is communication with our Father.</p><p>Jesus didn't teach us to approach God as though He were a stranger. He said: “<strong>Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name</strong>…”(Matthew 6:9)</p><p>And Paul tells us that <strong>through the Spirit, we can cry, “Abba, Father</strong>.” (Romans 8:15)</p><p>Think about it like your earthly father. If you genuinely have a good relationship with your dad and you need something, do you necessarily have to roll on the floor, scream, and cry before telling him what you need? No. You can simply walk up to him and say:</p><p>“Daddy, I need this. I need your help with that.”</p><p>That's the kind of relationship Jesus invites us into.</p><p>And Hebrews 4:16 says:</p><p>“<strong>Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence…”</strong></p><p><strong>Also Philippians 4:6 tells us to bring our requests to God with prayer and thanksgiving.</strong></p><p>Now, I'm not saying crying, kneeling, fasting, or praying intensely are wrong. Scripture contains examples of all of these. The point is that the posture of your body isn't what makes God hear you; the relationship and sincerity of your heart matter.</p><p>Prayer isn't a performance.</p><p>You don't have to impress God with your tears or vocabulary.</p><p>Talk to Him. Tell Him what you need. Tell Him what scares you. Thank Him for what He has done. Ask Him for direction. And listen.</p><p>Maybe prayer isn't about trying to convince our Father to care.</p><p>Maybe it's about learning to trust the Father who already cares. ❤️🙏🏽</p>
