For many football lovers, it was more than the end of an international career. It felt like the closing of a beautiful chapter of our lives. Messi's journey with Argentina was not initially filled with glory. There were disappointments, painful defeats and moments when many questioned and molested him . Those days can never be forgotten by messi fans . Yet he continued to return, continued to fight and eventually achieved what many thought he might never achieve with his country. He lifted all his international trophies and, most importantly, the World Cup. Yet , he never claimed he won it alone . In case you don’t know , he has given football lovers unforgettable moments. His dribbles, passes, movements, free kicks and goals have made millions of people fall in love with the beautiful game of football . Watching Messi play has personally made me a football lover. I remember back then , whenever I played football with my colleagues, I tried to imitate messi . If Messi performed a particular skill in a match, I would try to replicate it on the pitch. I tried to imitate his dribbles, his passes, his movements and the way he carried the ball. I was not simply watching Messi, I was learning from him in the only way a young football lover could. Eventually with that , my friends began calling me “Small Messi.”That name followed me throughout my secondary school years and beyond whenever I stepped onto the football pitch. It became a name attached to the way I played and a reflection of how deeply Messi had influenced my love for football. That is the kind of impact Messi has had on millions of people. His contribution cannot be measured only by trophies, goals or individual awards. He has inspired people to play, to dream and to fall in love with football.
