<p style="text-align: justify; ">AFTER GRADUATION, WHAT NEXT?</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Yes, that is the question that's been on my mind since the dawn of today ...</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Nobody really tells you about the silence that comes after graduation.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">For years, there was always something waiting.</p><p style="text-align: justify; ">A lecture.</p><p style="text-align: justify; ">An assignment.</p><p style="text-align: justify; ">A test.</p><p style="text-align: justify; ">A deadline.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Then one day, you submit the last thing, take the pictures, wear the gown, smile for the camera… and suddenly, nobody is telling you what to do next.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">“Congratulations, graduate.”</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">You hear it from everywhere.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">But somewhere inside, another question is louder:</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">“Now what?”</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Maybe a job.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Maybe NYSC.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Maybe further studies.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Maybe business.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Maybe something you haven't even discovered yet.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">And the strange part is that everyone seems to expect you to have the answer immediately.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">But what if you don't?</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">What if graduation is not the beginning of having everything figured out, but the beginning of figuring yourself out without a timetable?</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">You spent years preparing for an exam called school.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Nobody prepared you for the exam called life.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">So perhaps it is okay to pause.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">To apply for jobs and get rejected.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">To try something and discover it isn't for you.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">To start again.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">To watch some of your classmates move ahead while you are still trying to find your direction.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Life after graduation doesn't follow the class timetable.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Some people find their path quickly.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Some wander for years.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Some look successful while secretly feeling lost.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">And some of us are still standing at the door, holding our certificates, wondering which way to walk.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Maybe that is where the real journey begins.</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Not when you know what comes next…</p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br/></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">but when you decide to take the next step anyway.</p>
