Prostate cancer is one of the top major concerns all over the world when it comes to men's health, and it needs serious medical attention.

What is Prostate Cancer?

It is the uncontrolled growth of cells in the prostate gland, which sits just below the bladder in the male reproductive system.

At early stage, prostate cancer usually causes no symptoms. Symptoms start to show as the tumor grows or presses against the urethra.

Symptoms:

1-Urinary issues: trouble in urination

2-Painful or burning: discomfort or burning sensation during urination

3-Blood: presence of blood in urine

Risk Factors:

1-Age: risk increases significantly after age 50

2- Family History: a father, brother or son with prostate cancer raises your risk

3- Genetics: inherited gene mutation

For anyone who notices the above symptoms, please seek medical attention, because any delay may put your life at risk or even lead to death.

Yes, I know many people have heard the word prostate cancer and prostate and you may be wondering what the difference is. Every man has a prostate gland, and it is different from prostate cancer.

What does the prostate do?

1-It produces semen fluid: it secretes a milky fluid containing enzymes that nourish and transport sperms

2-It expels ejaculate

3-It regulates urine flow

So that is the work of the prostate in the male reproductive system. And when the prostate is infected, that is when it grows in size, which is when medical attention is needed before it leads to something serious like prostate cancer.

And not every noticeable symptom highlighted here is prostate cancer. Some other health challenges have the same similar symptoms, which is why you have to consult your health care giver. If you notice any unusual thing, you can't just assume, you should see a specialist first and after every test evaluation, your result will be handed over and explained to you.

This is a call for awareness for all male gender.

Thanks for reading through and I hope everyone reading this will prioritize their health and consult their health-care giver whenever something unusual happens.

@FP

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
