Episode 2: The Breaking Point The music didn't stop. The lights didn't dim. But the moment Cas reached the bar, the air felt heavier. He stopped inches from Leeno, his smile carrying more threat than humor. “So,” Cas said, folding his arms, “the bartender thinks he's a hero.” Leeno stood his ground. “She's upset. Leave her alone.” Cas laughed loudly enough for nearby customers to turn. “You're talking to my girlfriend.” Veena stepped forward. “Cas, please. Let's just go.” “No,” he replied without looking at her. “You embarrassed me first.” Leeno raised a hand toward Veena. “You don't have to stay.” That single sentence snapped something inside Cas. He shoved Leeno against the counter, rattling bottles behind him. “You think because you pour drinks you can steal people's women?” Leeno pushed himself upright. “I said leave her alone.” The manager rushed over. “Leeno! Don't cause trouble!” But it was already too late. Cas pulled out his phone. “You want to protect her?” he sneered. “Let's show everyone who she really is.” Before anyone understood what he meant, he turned the phone toward the crowd. An intimate video of Veena began playing on the screen. The room fell silent. Someone gasped. Another person quickly looked away. Veena froze. Her face drained of color as whispers spread across the bar like spilled liquor. “No…” she whispered. “Cas, stop!” He ignored her. “Tell them,” he shouted. “Tell them you're innocent.” Tears flooded her eyes. She snatched at the phone, but Cas pulled it away, laughing. The humiliation was louder than the music. Veena turned and ran. She pushed through strangers who suddenly felt like walls, her vision blurred as she burst into the cold night, wiping tears that refused to stop. Behind her, Leeno lunged toward Cas. “What is wrong with you?” Before he could reach him, his manager grabbed his arm. “You're fired if you touch him!” Cas slipped his phone into his pocket and walked away with a satisfied grin. The club slowly returned to its noise. But Leeno couldn't hear it anymore. He stared at the door Veena had disappeared through. If he had stayed out of their fight… If he hadn't stepped between them… Maybe she wouldn't have left carrying that kind of shame. He didn't know where she had gone. He only knew he couldn't let that be the last time he saw her. To be continued ....
